Israeli far-right accused of ‘false flag’ attack after ‘2 Jewish Israelis’ arrested over bus bombing

No casualties in three bombs that all went off ‘early’ in incident used to escalate assault on occupied West Bank. BBC ignores arrests

Yesterday, the Israeli regime announced that it was escalating its assault on the occupied West Bank – where it had already begun to employ the genocidal tactics it used in Gaza – in response to three bus bombs that detonated yesterday morning in central Israel. The BBC reported the bombings, echoing a statement from the Israeli security services that the bombs were believed to have been supposed to explode on the busy Friday morning but all went off early, on Thursday evening, with no casualties:

But today, the Israeli police and Shin Bet security service have announced that they have arrested ‘two Israelis’ in connection with the bombs – and that the two Israelis are Jewish, not Palestinian.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary’s definition of ‘false flag’.

The reports have led to accusations that the Israeli regime itself, or the far-right settler groups that want the whole of the West Bank and Gaza for themselves and are strongly represented in the Israeli government, carried out the bombings in a ‘false flag’ attack designed to give Israel a reason for stepping up even further the mass ethnic cleansing it has been conducting in the West Bank for years, and intensified since the supposed ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza – and that this is why all three separate bombs went off ‘early’ when the buses were empty or almost so.

Israel has a known history of false-flag operations, including the notorious ‘Lavon incident‘, which Leonard Weiss in the Sage Journals notes was intended to manipulate western powers into ending their support for the Egyptian government of Gamal Abdel Nasser:

In 1954, Israeli Military Intelligence (often known by its Hebrew abbreviation AMAN) activated a sleeper cell that had been tasked with setting off a series of bombs in Egypt. In this risky operation, a small number of Egyptian Jews were to bomb Western and Egyptian institutions in Egypt, hoping the attacks could be blamed on Egyptian opponents of the country’s leader, Gamal Abdel Nasser, including members of the Muslim Brotherhood or the Communist Party. The ensuing chaos, it apparently was hoped, would persuade Western governments that Nasser’s regime was unstable and, therefore, unworthy of financial and other support.

The BBC News website, as of the time of writing, has not reported the arrests or who was arrested.

    1. which ‘we’ is that SteveH, ‘the left’?
Yeah! you’re right tho’: When ‘false flags’ and lies become regular and constant, the truth is more likely to be whatever isn’t said/claimed. Deductive reasoning….

Re their oppression of the Palestinian people, Proverbs, 19:5. “Chosen” people don’t do that. They are an abomination to their religion and themselves. They are no longer the cherished souls of their supposed-Creator or beneficiaries of a sacred covenant with him. (see, Jeremy C isn’t just on the right side “of history” and “ethics”, but scripture and transcendent Law, too).

  1. Congratulations!! You’ve backed the odds-on favourite in a two-horse race…except one of the horses had three legs and was ridden by eric pickles.

But I guess a win’s a win, eh? Most magnanimous of ya to include tim in your auto-sycophantic post.

Enjoy your virtual montecristo. You’ve earned it.

  2. I see the israeli line is that those two infants (whose bodies were returned) weren’t killed by an airstrike, but: “by bare hands”.

Strange, that these two children – but not the adults’ bodies who’ve been returned – are the only ones to have been determined to have been killed in this exactmanner, innit?

Stranger still, that that fucking wingnut hagari (reading from the autocue) ONLY started with the hand gestures while telling us how those kids died.

Now, make NO mistake – I’m absolutely disgusted with hamas that those kids are dead.

Its on them (hamas). And nobody else.

But I don’t and won’t believe the israeli line until a fully independent post-mortem is carried out on them.

So, because israel has shamelessly lied about just about everything else, they don’t get the benefit of the doubt off me (for one)

  3. “As calls to rain vengeance upon Gaza grow louder, remember this: the Bibas kids aren’t the reason, they’re the excuse. The excuse to advance pre-planned agendas against the Palestinians that have been in place since long before those children were born.”

Give such people an inch – on anything – and it will be used as a wedge to drive a coach and horses through.
