Egypt reacts in fury to Israeli discussion of enormous war crime if threatened over ‘Greater Israel’ land-grab plans

Egyptian media and political figures have reacted with fury to discussion in Israeli press of a doomsday plan to kill as many as 10.5 million Egyptians if Israel feels threatened by the prospect of Egyptian military action over Israel’s expansionist plans and its project to expel two million Palestinians into Egyptian and Jordanian territory.
The plan, first floated on the Israeli ‘Nziv’ military analysis website, maps out the predicted chain of events if Israel destroys Egypt’s Aswan High Dam, which holds back around 132 cubic kilometers of water at the head of the Nile river – with devastating consequences within hours, including:
- millions of cubic meters of water breaching the dam and starting within minutes to cascade downriver
- a wall of water flooding the Luxor and Aswan areas, devastating infrastructure
- flooding of military bases and industrial facilities along the Nile
- many thousands of people killed just in the first few hours, mainly in rural areas
- a state of emergency for 20 million people in Cairo as the wall of water approaches
- collapse of power supplies and transportation and communication systems
- mobiliation of the Egyptian military to evacuate or try to rescue civilians
- collapse Cairo’s industrial zones are completely shut down, office towers and old buildings are collapsing.
- the Egyptian state losing control of large urban areas
- mass movement of refugees fleeing to high ground but many people drowning
- deaths of at least 1.7 million people and as many as 10.5 million
Egyptian commentators reacted with outrage, with one politician vowing that Egypt’s army would ‘overtake [Israeli business capital] Tel Aviv in one day’ if Israel attacked it. Egyptian writer and researcher Saad al-Fiqi told RT that the report is a display of “recklessness whose consequences Israel does not realise” and that the “cartoonish statements” are a sign of Israel’s dysfunction and its leaders trying to “save their reputation, which is stained with the blood of innocents in Palestine.”
Egyptian media described the plan as an “unprecedented and serious escalation”.
The Aswan High Dam, built between 1960 and 1970, is one of Egypt’s most biggest and most critical infrastructure projects, regulating Nile water flow to prevent floods and capable of supplying around 6% of Egypt’s annual electricity consumption.
International law makes the deliberate destruction of water resources and infrastructure an unequivocal war crime, stating that “Combatants shall not, for military purposes or as reprisals, destroy or divert waters, or destroy water installations, if such actions would cause disproportionate suffering to civilians.”
Israel has repeatedly destroyed water sources and infrastructure during its Gaza genocide and its weaponisation of starvation against Palestinian civilians, even banning Palestinians from trapping rain water as Israel rules that all water belongs to it. Egypt is reported to be preparing a military response in case Israel attempts to carry out the Trump-Netanyahu plan to expel around 1.8 million Palestinian civilians from Gaza in order to expropriate their homeland for resort development and the seizure of Gaza’s massive offshore energy resources.

and meanwhile “ A U.S. Shipment of Heavy Bombs Arrives in Israel”
ISRAELI CHANNEL 12: A shipment of heavy bombs delayed by the Biden administration arrived in Israel last night. The Israeli Security Ministry confirmed the receipt of the shipment.

More munitions are on their way to Israel
https://www.palestinechronicle.com/mk-84-heavy-bombs-arrive-in-israel-katz-thanks-trump-for-unwavering-support/
Earlier this month, the US State Department approved a potential $7.41 billion military sale to Israel of bombs, missiles and related equipment.
The sale included “munitions, guidance kits, fuzes, and munitions support, along with related equipment, for an estimated cost of $6.75 billion,” the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a statement.
This was in addition to the approval of a possible sale of AGM-114 Hellfire Missiles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $660 million.
“The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to U.S. national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability. This proposed sale is consistent with those objectives,” the statement added.
Deliveries were estimated to begin in 2025, it noted. The delivery of 3,000 Hellfire Air-to-Ground Missiles will begin in 2028.
Great eh?
And what’s keef handing over? The fluorescent fool doesn’t like handing over things that cost – unless others are weighing in, too.
And that
supine shithouse rat”global giant’ of a statesman keef is shit-scared of the beta-carotened, bluffing buffoon.Oh dear 🥱
Give your goats the day off and go fuck yerself.
Oh dear just does not do justice to the deep shit that the UK and Herr Starmer are in right now.
Beacuae
a) As far back as last Autumn, the eventual winner of the US presidential election was submitting complaints about the election interference of the UK Labour Government:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/oct/22/trump-complaint-uk-labour-party
and………………………..
Dave – ……………and the Federal Election Commission (FEC) dismissed Trump’s complaint against the UK’s Labour Party. The FEC found no substantial evidence of illegal foreign interference1. They determined that the Labour Party volunteers were acting in their personal capacity and not as representatives of the party, which is allowed under FEC rules. 🤔
…..
b) The interference of the UK and its intelligence agencies against the current POTUS which goes back at least ten years:
As detailed here:
https://sonar21.com/will-donald-trump-punish-the-uk-for-its-meddling-in-two-us-presidential-elections/
And, given the long Russiaphobic obsession of those pulling Starmer’s strings (as well as the strings of his cheerleaders and supporters) there is likely to be a c) as the UK runs as point man in undermining any peace talks between the US and RF.
As former UK diplomat Ian Proud notes, last Friday’s response of the UK oligarchy’s State mouthpiece – the BBC – to the severe danger of peace breaking is extraordinary:
“In a dystopian moral inversion of the rules based international order, life, now, is more terrifying than death.
As British state-controlled news opened its lunchtime broadcast on Valentine’s Day, the BBC’s Chief International Correspondent reported that the Munich Security Conference was facing its ‘biggest crisis’ in its sixty-one years.
That came on the back of President Trump’s phone call with President Putin on 12 February, to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
Extraordinarily, discussions about ending a war that has killed or injured more than one million people across both sides was framed as an international crisis.
A crisis of even greater and more catastrophic significance than the Vietnam War, Pol Pot’s genocide in Cambodia, or Soviet tanks rolling into Afghanistan.
Worse than the Tiananmen Square crackdown or the Balkans conflict.
Worse than 9-11, the forced rendition of terrorist suspects and the illegal U.S. and UK invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Worse than the Hamas terrorist attack of 7 October 2023 and the Israeli genocide in Gaza that ensued.
Astonishingly, the BBC reporter elevated the prospect of much-needed peace to a fear factor far beyond the horizon of modern history, characterised by the suffering of millions.”
-Ian Proud: former UK Diplomat.
At this rate, oysters will shortly shoot to the top of the list of endangered species likely to become extinct. There just will not be enough pearls to go around for all the clutching which is currently exploding exponentially all over the UK and Europe following the events of the past week.
Popcorn shortages are also likely.
One can only pray that the de-industrialisation of the West to China did not include the production of smelling salts. If so, and the Chinese re-designate them as a rare earth and place an embargo on their exportation, the streets will be littered with the prone bodies of the P&MC’s, politicians, media darlings and associated commentariats in the coming lamentation apocalypse – and the streets are untidy enough as it is – with no means to resuscitate them.
It’s just a shame it is not early November. We could do with something to keep us warm given the price of gas. Still, not long to the German festival of Rosen Montag. Followed swiftly by Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Rather than pancakes, if anyone is good with pastry, the next big London March could bake a massive Humble Pie in Parliament Square and deliver it to Westminster- there should be plenty of the necessary ingredients lying about the streets by that time. Though I’m not sure how we’d cater for vegetarians?
Doubtless, Viner over at the Guardian will be delving into the cutlery draw in preparation for declaring a Fatwa. Though she’d better hurry as Unherd seems to be heading in that direction having just announcedd the end of the Transatlantic Alliance.
Oh dear?
Frank Spencer is obviously still going strong.
Billy – And Trump is just going to forget all about that simply because the FEC said it was okay?
This, by the way, being the FEC whose President Trump attempted to dismiss less than two weeks ago and doubtless still has in his sites as he goes after the Deep State Swamp in the beltway.
Gullible and naive goes nowhere near covering how laughable your response is as reality starts kicking down the door on your delusions.
Keep digging, sucker.
Dave – I’m simply reporting the facts that you chose to omit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ditto, Billy.
Facts do not exist in a vacuum. They have a wider context.
However, as we are all well aware of by now, being a reductionist, you don’t do context.
Keep digging, sucker.
I’m simply reporting the facts that you chose to omit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“Omitting such information is, as any court will tell you, not “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”
And precisely what facts and truth is missing from an argument, spread over two posts to enable two links to be submitted, which outlines just how much of a grudge Trump has against the UK and Starmer?
Take your time…..
Indeed, what relevance does the rejection of the Trump team’s complaint have to the reality based fact that Trump, given his record and personality, will be seeking some payback for the actions of the British State and the Starmer Red Tories?
…..no rush…….
You do know that we are dealing here with people who view themselves as exceptional and not subject to the rules and laws which apply to everyone else, don’t you, Billy? Who regularly break international law?
……we won’t hold our breath……
Do you really think that an FCC ruling will hold any sway with or relevance to these people?
……sometime today…….
Are you actually, seriously arguing that Trump – who operates entirely on the basis of I win – you lose – will simply say okay, I lost that one and forget about it, rather than treating it as the irrelevance it is and using what he considers to be further interference in a long patterns of interference to retaliate against the UK and Starmer?
I have a bridge to sell you, Billy.
Keep digging, sucker – because you are so predictable, it’s almost possible to write the response to your posts before you’ve submitted it.
Dave – I’m simply pointing out that you decided to miss out that Trump’s complaint had been rejected by the US authorities.
As for the rest of your hyperbole, well that is all yours.
You could write me an essay if it will make you feel better. 😟
Billy – And I’m simply pointing out that your fact is irrelevant to the point being made. Which is why it was not considered.
A point which you have conceded by not challenging. Merely opting for repetition of an irrelevancy.
Have you worn out that spade yet?
Dave – Wot, no essay? 😞
“A point which you have conceded by not challenging. Merely opting for repetition of an irrelevancy.”
I haven’t conceded anything I’ve simply pointing out that you decided to miss out that Trump’s complaint had been rejected by the US authorities.
As for the rest of your hyperbole, well that is all yours.
And I have pointed out that your fact has no relevance to the point being made of Trump bearing a grudge.
Are you going to challenge that? If so, on what grounds? Give us an evidence based argument as to why that fact is relevant to how Trump perceives the UK and Starmer – if you can and if you have the bottle.
Go for it Billy. We are all ears.
Dave – I’m quite happy for others to read through these comments and reflect on why it has rattled your cage so much before deciding for themselves how relevant the additional information that I posted is.

Which bit of the concept of irrelevance to the original point I made are you having problems with, Billy?
I’m asking you to justify its relevance.
How hard is that?
If you cannot answer the question, just say so, rather than these pathetic essays attempting to evade that question.
Dave – See below.

Seeing as you are the one who introduced this irrelevancy, Billy, we can if you want run a straw poll as to who is doing the rattling here.
Or you could stop making excuses and answer the question – which is to produce evidence as to why it is relevant to the original point?
Dave – Given that you’ve more or less filled this page with your desperate pleas one has to wonder why you’ve so obviously got your knickers in such a twist just because I have pointed out (without comment) that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) dismissed Trump’s complaint against the UK’s Labour Party. The FEC found no substantial evidence of illegal foreign interference. They determined that the Labour Party volunteers were acting in their personal capacity and not as representatives of the party, which is allowed under FEC rules.

Dave – As I’ve said elsewhere I am quite content for other readers to read the link that I posted and decide for themselves how much weight they give it. They don’t need me (or you) to tell them what to think.
I provided the additional info and left it entirely to others to decide whether they think it is relevant or not I simply don’t understand why you are so desperate to sensor this fact.
ps: thanks for doing so much to draw attention to my post, It could so easily have been missed if you had just ignored it.😏👍🏼
It was the least I could do in assisting you to demonstrate your ability to be obtuse by consistently missing the point with irrelevancies.
Dave – 🥱
Unlike you I am quite content for other readers to read the link that I posted and decide for themselves how much weight they give it.
One can’t help wondering why you are so obviously unable to do the same.
