Newly non-censoring platform censors… anti-racism and anti-fascism page for posting about a certain ‘salute’
Meta’s Facebook social media platform has removed the page of a well-known UK anti-racist platform – for supposedly breaching its nebulous ‘community standards’.
The platform, which has a long reputation of censoring left-wing news and speech and leaving right-wing speech untouched, announced earlier this month that its censorship had been political and that it was no longer going to use establishment so-called ‘fact-checking’ companies, instead switching to a Twitter-like ‘community note’ system.
However, this change seems to have reversed, at least in the case of the Stand up to Racism (SUTR) group, a sister-group of Unite against Fascism – whose page removed, apparently for posting about a ‘Hitler salute’ performed by X owner and supposed ‘free speech absolutist’ Elon Musk (twice) during yesterday’s inauguration event:

SUTR is asking supporters who can do so to attend its anti-racism march in London on 1 February in a show of solidarity and resistance:

As a muslim i think you would find it shocking to see what Facebook allow. A woman posted me a meme and i still have it screenshot that says NEVER EVER TRUST A DIRTY F… G MUSLIM. This apparently was not against Facebook rules. Imagine I had wrote the same about a jew. (not that I ever would), I would rightly never see my Facebook account again. We muslims are fair game for death threats or any other type of filth. This doesn’t surprise me one bit that they now target anti racist groups.
