Terror state’s hypocrisy and shamelessness sees outpouring of disgust and outrage
An X post by Israel declaring its solidarity with residents and firefighters and first responders facing the massive wildfires blazing across California has triggered a justified and outraged response from people across the world who have looked on in horror for fifteen months as Israel has burned refugees in their tents and deliberately targeted medics, paramedics and rescue workers trying to save people.
In a heavily ‘ratioed’ comment, the Israeli US embassy posted that its ‘hearts’ are with the people affected by the California blaze:
But many hundreds responded pointing out the obvious of Israel’s heartless genocide and reminding readers of its countless victims:
Many of the responses were far more popular and widely shared than the embassy’s original hypocrisy:
And some pointed out the added shamelessness that Israel receives hundreds of millions of dollars in public funds from California and hundreds of billions from the US as a whole – while the Los Angeles Fire Department had just suffered more than a hundred million in cuts:
Israel is a terror state and shameless with it.

After 15 months of many of us marching 60 plus times in our areas for a Ceasefire & Peace plus Justice in Palestine it could be easy to feel despair.
We daily witness the hell Palestinians (and others) face as the West enables a Genocide for PROFITS – arms sales (these companies donate to politicians), land, gas, oil & a potential new canal.
But perhaps capital & its apologists plus puppets don’t have it all their own way:
According to the FT by December 2023 the Occupation Force’s economy had taken a hit of £40b so that’s probably £300b by now (?) which is unsustainable.
The USA/West including the EC & UK have quite rightly lost their moral & intellectual leadership of the world (New Left Review) and we have seen Western lightweight careerist politicians as they really are as they jump to the US & Occupation Force’s tune so we will never forgive them nor forget.
And BDS is working, according to the FT Starbucks has lost £12b in boycotts mainly in the Middle East & McDonald’s has had to give up everyone of its franchises in the Middle East for the same reasons.
And some universities and companies plus other organisations are disinvesting from the Occupation Force plus Palestine Action has impacted upon their arms suppliers.
And the oppressed of the world has woken up over Palestine.
The USA recently agreed to give the Occupation Force’s propaganda machine £150m which it could be argued shows they are desperate plus are losing the arguments.
So we just need to continue our campaigning with vigour to wear capital down & as socialists plus other progressives we do this altruistically as always giving our time free because we oppose imperialism & land theft and being pro humanity we know we are on the right side of history. Solidarity.
