New movie from makers of ‘Oh Jeremy Corbyn – the Big Lie’ examines UK state’s assault on journalists revealing Israel’s genocide in Gaza
Selly Oak Palestine Solidarity (SOPS) with Platform Films will host a special screening of the film “Censoring Palestine” on Saturday 11th January at 7pm at The Old Print Works, Moseley Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham B12 9AH.
The new documentary feature film from Platform Films exposes the UK government’s intensive assault on free speech: as Israel commits genocide in Gaza – a crime that is ruthlessly misrepresented and censored in mainstream and social media, Keir Starmer’s regime is waging a war of intimidation, harassment and criminalisation on the independent journalists and activists who expose Israel’s crimes and the UK’s collusion.

Selly Oak Palestine Solidarity describes itself as “an informal group of neighbours and community activists calling for peace in Gaza in a permanent and immediate ceasefire, the return of all hostages and an end to the daily mass slaughter of innocent civilians which we believe now constitutes a genocide – in agreement with the UN, Amnesty International and many others.
The screening is open to everyone. Tickets can be booked in advance or entrants can ‘pay what you can’ on the door.
