Move exposes reality of new regime now being whitewashed by UK government and media
The French government has admitted its military joined in Israel’s bombing of Syria last weekend – and at the same time admitted that the new Syrian regime is ISIS-run, despite the attempts of the UK, US and other western governments to airbrush its identity and rehabilitate its terrorist leaders. France said it had bombed ‘Islamic State sites’, with French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu stating:
On Sunday, French air forces carried out targeted strikes against Islamic State sites based on Syrian territory.
The US and Israel, which has continued its genocide in Gaza and seeks to strengthen its impunity by weakening Lebanon and other neighbours who oppose the slaughter in Gaza, have already bombed the new regime’s military and fuel depots, despite PR attempts by the governments of Keir Starmer and Joe Biden claiming that the Syrian ISIS-/Al Qaeda offshoot HTS has ‘cut ties with’ or ‘distanced itself from’ those banned terrorist groups. Washington has also admitted that at least one of its bombing attacks was aimed at ISIS operatives. The UK participated earlier in 2024 in bombing attacks on the now-former Syrian government, in support of mostly foreign so-called ‘rebels’ and UK figures of the then-Tory government attempted to secure secret funding for Israel’s military hospitals treating ISIS and al-Qaeda fighters in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
British moves to normalise relations with the new regime continue, as does ‘mainstream’ media whitewashing of the status of the terror groups now running Syria, despite HTS remaining – for now – on the banned list, making any show of support for, or move that might promote support for, ‘proscribed’ terrorist groups a criminal offence punishable by up to fourteen years in prison, albeit a law so far only turned on anti-genocide UK journalists and activists supporting Palestinian freedom.
The UK government has said Syrian refugees fleeing the new regime ‘have no basis’ for asylum claims in the UK, in a further show of racist imperialism and collusion.

British ground troops? Where from? We can barely field a functional Brigade. Training, expertise and experience does not grow on trees.
And which theatre is going to take priority? Project Ukraine? The Near East? The Caucuses? China and the Pacific?
Presumably, the failed mindset that the mere sight of British cold steel (made in China) will be sufficient to make the inferior natives outside of the “Garden” run away, remains Plan A through to Z in the Operational Manual doctrine of what passes for the lumpen British and Western ‘elites’?
Besides which, the approach now is to use proxies, terrorism, and expensive not fit for purpose so called ‘wonder weapons’ which are useless against a peer force and fit only for slaughtering women, children, doctors, nurses, the sick and journalists or flattening hospitals and the homes of people who can’t fight back.

There are some people around who are incapable of figuring it (or anything) out, timfrom – no matter how many times it is Janet & John’d for them.
Besides which, from a systemic perspective it is not so much the what that is of practical use but the how and the why.
As for time, I’m currently avoiding crowds and their germs so as not to jeopardise further follow-up surgery (in ten days) which I’ve been waiting nearly ten months for. One has to find some means to combat cabin fever and take one’s mind off what’s slowing you down – however temporary it might be.

Yes politics is simple really.
The US, Israel & Western lightweight leaders as well as promoting arms sales want Gaza’s land, gas, oil & a new canal so Palestinians & now others are being slaughtered for PROFITS.
Equally the US Neo-Cons want a Polish/Ukraine corridor to The Caucuses & the riches beyond so Ukrainians are being slaughtered for PROFITS too!
Though Zelensky of The Panama Papers fame has privatised much of its land much of which is now owned by US Corporations so perhaps this is how it is done.
But the US & West have now quite rightly lost their moral & intellectual leadership of the world, and we now see Western leaders as they really are.
And the oppressed of the world has woken up.
Also The Occupation Force in Palestine has faced a £280b hit on its economy so far so BDS is working with companies & universities disinvesting.
Starbucks has lost £12b from boycotts in the Middle East & McDonald’s has had to end all of its franchises there, so we need to continue to wear down capital.
2 of us socialists gave out PSC leaflets in the wind & rain today; we reckoned this was nothing compared to what Palestinians were enduring.
We need to carry this spirit into 2025 for Peace & Justice 4 A Free Palestine!
