Anti-genocide campaigner’s supporters will protest outside court

As Skwawkbox covered last month, Jewish anti-genocide and anti-apartheid writer and campaigner Tony Greenstein is being charged under terror legislation for a comment supporting the right of Palestinians to resist Israel’s occupation. Greenstein was made to appear at Brighton police station for the charge to be read to him but will be formally charged at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at 10am on Thursday 19 December at 10am with supporting a proscribed organisation under section 12 (1A) of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The ‘offence’ carries a prison sentence of up to fourteen years if convicted.
Greenstein’s arrest and charging is the latest in the Starmer regime’s abuse of anti-terror laws in an escalating war on pro-Palestine speech, activism and journalism in the UK – while Starmer claims to be protecting journalists against oppression and persecution.
Greenstein’s supporters are asked to gather outside the court as the hearing takes place, to send a signal of resistance against this attack on free speech on Palestine. After his separate arrest for protesting outside the residence of far-right Israeli ambassador Tzipi Hotovely, he opened a crowdfund for his legal expenses.

But of course we have democracy, freedom of speech and freedom to demonstrate ….

DISGRACEFUL to say the least
So when are the individuals which make up the UK Cabinet and those under them carrying out their policies going to get arrested for their support for a terrorist group on the US State Department Terrorist List and whose leader has a $10 million bounty on his head?
What happened to the consistent application of the rule of law?
Oh! Yes!. I’m forgetting. That is not how “The Rules Based International Order” works is it? One law for everyone else and a totally different one for the self-appointed ‘great and good’ of the Globalist Parish Guardians.
Any half-competent barrister’s gonna see this laughed out of court.
I’d have gone as far as keef, lammy or thornberry could do…but I DID say half-competent.
“Any half-competent barrister’s gonna see this laughed out of court.”
A reasonable assessment with one fundamental flaw:
The assumption that due process standards and principles will be applied.
Bear in mind that we have an oligarch captured administration which, when in “Loyal” (to whom and what?) opposition, totally jettisoned any pretence at due process procedures, standards and principles in the operation of its own internal disciplinary proceedings.
The notion that such a Kangaroo Court approach will not be applied now these thugs are in charge of Government is difficult to reconcile with the record of their cavalier approach to the rule of law principles at every level, unreliability in meeting publicly stated commitments, and demonstrated malevolence towards anyone challenging The Official Narrative.
