Israel murders more than 150 civilians in Jabalia refugee camp in one wave of attacks

Occupier bombs at least 11 residential buildings in al-Hawaja camp district

Israel has massacred more than one hundred and fifty Palestinians in a wave of devastating attacks on the al-Hawaja area of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to the Palestinian civil defence agency.

Israeli forces targeted and destroyed at least eleven residential buildings. A statement from the civil defence service described desperate calls for help from locals:

Citizens are sending distress calls to head to the place to help transport the wounded.

Jabalia has been the scene of repeated Israeli atrocities, including strikes on people queuing for food aid, summary executions of women and children and mass forced displacement of the civilian population. Israel has not allowed food, water or other aid into northern Gaza for three weeks now and keeps ordering residents to flee to different areas as part of the so-called ‘general’s plan’ for the complete ethnic cleansing of the north by forcing out those who live there through starvation and bombing, with any who refuse to leave treated as combatants and killed. Hospitals have either been destroyed or are currently under bombardment despite treating sick children and others unable to leave.

The occupation military last night designated all surviving journalists in northern Gaza as terrorists, in a campaign to prevent the world seeing its war crimes.

  1. Israel’s Reinvasion and the ‘General’s Plan’ – What is Happening in Northern Gaza?
    Palestine Chronicle TV – 24 Oct 2024
Israel is committing some of the worst massacres in Gaza since the beginning of the war in October of 2023.
Yet, if you were to receive your news from Western corporate media, you would probably think that the most significant development of late was a drone strike on Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s house.
Palestine Chronicle’s Robert Inlakesh explains what is happening in northern Gaza and Israel’s real plan.

    1. “Yet, if you were to receive your news from Western corporate media………”

An observation which is not limited to information from such sources on a range of issues; from the BRICS Summit to Cuba; Venezuela to Ukraine; Economic policy to NATO Expansion.

And yet, despite this observation, the Gell-Mann effect blind spot continues to manifest itself from the same poster who is highlighting this observation by posting it here.

  2. President Maduro at BRICS: “Every time a high-precision missile falls on an apartment building in Gaza, Beirut, or the South of Lebanon, killing men, women and children, it sets fire and destruction to the United Nations system… A new world is possible.”

    1. The next sentence is key too, nvla “A new world is possible. We believe that a new world has already been born ….(through) ….a new payment system”.

BRICS’ “paradigm shift” for the world the world is simply to challenge the US hegemony sustained by a ‘rigged’ payment system where the USD is the only ‘gold standard’ currency.

Maybe after a year+-long middle-east bloodbath that the US can escalate at will, supporting Moduro’s claim is the surest way to promote Peace?

      1. “Venezuela furious at Brazil’s Brics snub
Venezuela has criticised Brazil’s decision to veto its admission to the Brics group of emerging economies.
Venezuela’s foreign ministry described the move, which came at the group’s summit in Russia attended by more than 20 heads of state, as an “immoral aggression”.
Relations between the two left-wing governments have worsened since July’s contested presidential election in Venezuela. President Nicolás Maduro said he had secured re-election, despite evidence that the opposition’s Edmundo González won by a landslide.

      2. Dave – “I rest my case”

        Did you ever have one

Is the BBC report untrue. 🤔
Please feel free to post any supporting evidence that supports your ‘case’.

      3. re your 3.34pm point Dave, the worrying thing is that as soon as he sees a post that challenges his US ‘deepstate’ worldview, he springs into action. Everybody else was ignoring it/ maybe not even noticing it. He’s not here as an ‘interested person’ he’s here with a job to do, a brief and a plan.

Anyway, it’s nice to know that despite being ignored by the MSM, BRICS obviously terrifies him or maybe just his boss.

      4. qwertboi – Is Venezuela now a member of the BRICS or has their application been vetoed by Brasil?

      5. Their application was only made this year (June). As you know, the US is pressurising Mexico, Columbia and Brazil to obstruct the application, but, despite widespread claims in the corporate press that Brazil has formally “blocked” it, Brazil stated as soon as the TSJ provided voting data (52 v 43%) that it now fully supports its neighbour’s application.

The US is nevertheless determined to stop the heroic nation that part-founded OPEC from joining BRICS.

I’d expect Venezuela to be approved within 9-13 months and to join on 1st Jan 2026.

      6. qwertboi – ………and the likelihood of Venezuela actually providing the missing data is?
Why do you think Maduro is being so reticent, surely he doesn’t have anything to hide?

      7. qwertboi – The complete voting returns you numpty. 🙄

      8. Yes, Billy, the BBC report is inaccurate in the respect of the omission of details of the reason for the action of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry on this matter. Clearly, and inaccurately, implying that the Brazilian President has had a general 180 degree change of heart over Venezuela and giving the impression that both Governments may be on the verge of ending their relationship.

This misleading impression via a lie of omission rather than a lie of commission, like much of the output of Western Corporate Media, seeks to direct the willing and enthusiastically naive and gullible – such as yourself, Billy – towards a particular narrative conclusion in line with Western Oligarch interests.

The fact is that Brazil’s former foreign minister, Amorim has explained the veto in these terms: “The problem with Venezuela [in the BRICS] has nothing to do with democracy, but with a breach of trust. The breach of trust was serious. They promised us something and it was not done,” according to the Brazilian newspaper O Globo.

Former FM Amorin was referring to a commitment made by Venezuela to him during a visit he made to Venezuela in late July this year to publicly provide election records. Which has not yet been carried out.

Like everything else in the real world outside The Official Narrative you shill for, Billy, this is still in flux. This BBC report is selling chickens which have not hatched. And, as with numerous previous examples of its output pushing The Official Narrative which can be listed, may likely not hatch or even exist.

In the course of time this will become yesterday’s discarded fish and chip shop wrappings. Like other examples, such as the Ghost of Kiev, the Minsk Agreements, the promises of non-expansion of NATO, the Iraqi WMD’s, the Kuwaiti babies ripped out of incubators, or the significant news being a drone strike on Netanyahu’s house rather than the genocide taking place.

Another one of your dead cat on the table distractions, Billy.

The case, therefore, in terms of having to be wary of any and every narrative – particularly in regard to the long record of Western Corporate owned and Oligarch controlled media in misleading the public – remains.

As does the chronic Gell-Mann effect, which afflicts the ill-informed and inconsistent gibberish you pollute this site with.

      9. Dave – “Brazil has made it clear that it vetoed Venezuela’s bid to join BRICS because President Nicolás Maduro abused Lula’s trust after the presidential elections in Venezuela by failing to comply with the promise to present the official results, as explained by Celso Amorim, Brazil’s presidential advisor for international affairs.”
“Brazil’s former foreign minister, Amorim explained the veto in these terms: “The problem with Venezuela [in the BRICS] has nothing to do with democracy, but with a breach of trust. The breach of trust was serious. They promised us something and it was not done,” he told the Brazilian newspaper O Globo.
President Lula sent Amorim to Caracas to monitor the July 28 presidential elections on the ground. The day after the elections, the Brazilian envoy went to the Miraflores palace to meet Maduro and the latter, according to O Globo, promised to make public the records that would prove there had been no election fraud as was widely suspected.
Shortly after, the opposition in Venezuela published digitalized copies of more than 80% of the tally sheets, which indicated a landslide victory for Edmundo González. For weeks, Brazil — together with Colombia, Mexico and the U.S. — demanded the documentation from Maduro, which he failed to produce.

      10. Yes, excess deaths (UK) since 2021 are much much higher than we’d like – mRNA ‘vaccines’ adverse reactions, you see.

The July 2024 Venezuelan election results are contained in the Supreme Court’s (JCT) submission to the President.

President Lula Da Silva of Brazil, President Carter’s Institute and the UN also have bound copies of the data (by seat).

      11. qwertboi – Brazil self evidently haven’t got the evidence that Maduro promised to Lula. I wonder why?🤔

      12. As I had already supplied the synopsis from O Global, Billy, your quoting from the article at length is superfluous. I had already read it.

Hanging your hat on election figures from a compromised comprador elite backed by Western oligarchs seeking to overthrow non compliant States via the long discredited colour revolution route is hardly credible Billy. After all, it was tried earlier when Lula got back in in Brazil. And despite it failing the Lula Government, like that in Venezuela , has US backed internal sources in the respective bureaucraies pulling in different directions to undermine both Governments.

If you’d ever spent any time in a Global South country subject to the malevolence of Washington’s sanction tantrums you’d comprehend how it is that nothing runs smoothly and priorities are not always how outsiders would wish them to be.

And you can guarantee that somewhere out there are bad faith actors just like yourself,Billy, who are using the exact same line of argument as yourself here but about Palestinians Arabs, and Persians and against those, such as yourself Billy, who criticise those who are attacking them. Who are backed by the same people and sources as those desperately trying to undermine the emerging BRICS, States associated with it and the alternative it is attempting

But joined up thinking is not really your forte is it.

      13. Dave – What’s wrong, are feeling bored and lonely?

        FFS get over yourself.

    2. Tut tut SteveH. Brazil endorses the assessment of Venezuela’s National Electoral Council that Maduro won the US-contested election. It even sent congratulations to Madura personally when the Supreme Court (TSJ) verified a 52-to-43 percent split of Votes as “unappealable and of mandatory compliance.”

You and your bbc-shit-stirring on this non-story demean you both, SteveH

      1. Indeed, qwrertboi.

This stuff just writes itself and ties the writer up in ever-increasing knots of contradictory double-think which is pure comedy gold.

One minute posting links to analysis highlighting the blatant propaganda of Corporate Western Media, shortly followed by a serious attempt to push a propaganda line from the same compromised sources.

Billy couldn’t join the dots between two single points on a single flat plane axis.

      2. It’s quite a foggy and muggy October day here high up on the edge of the Pennines.

Wonder what the weather’s like round the M4/A34 junction area down in Berkshire?

      3. qwertboi – They’ve obviously changed their minds.

        I wonder why.🤔

      4. Don’t you just love it when something goes over someone’s head and they broadcast the fact for all to see?

Parolles definitely has a serious rival in you, Billy.

      5. Dave – ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Come back and tell me all about it when Maduro has stopped abusing the trust that Lula put in him and Venezuela has been admitted to the BRICS.

I wonder why Maduro hasn’t already done this. 🤔

    1. I don’t usually watch green things, but his attacks on fake labour are excellent.

  3. ‘How low can the Occupation Force go?
As Western politicians jump in the gutter for profit.
As they bow to the US will.
And turn a blind eye as Zionists kill.
But half the world is now on BRICs.
So the Barbarians at the top will soon be off it!’
    Ceasefire.
    Peace.
One Multi Ethnic Democratic State of Palestine.
    Yours in Peace.

    1. Every time it rains in Manchester, do the press announce BREAKING NEWS, it’s raining in Manchester? No, ‘course not.
Some things are so routine, they’re expected and almost hardly worth mentioning….

BTW: 17 Sep 2024, that’s when the TJP reports on Venezuela’s 28 July election was issued to Da Silva.

      1. qwertboi – The last time Israel carried out a similar attack on Iran was a little over 6 months ago and although I don’t live in Manchester I do hear that it rains there quite frequently.

Obviously Lula doesn’t agree that Maduro has provided him with all that he promised him and feels that Maduro has betrayed his trust. Given that he doesn’t have that many friends one would have thought that Maduro would do all that he can to maintain the trust of the few that he has.
One has to wonder what Maduro is trying to hide.

  4. “In the New Cold War, elections around the world are now viewed in the West as existential battles between good and evil, between the West’s “freedom” and the “authoritarianism” of Moscow and Beijing.

So it was in Georgia, the small Caucasus country that held parliamentary elections yesterday.

Ahead of the vote the US and EU threatened to slam the door on the country’s westward path and impose sanctions, they shrieked about free and fair elections, and their spooks came out of the woodwork to encourage Georgia to choose the West.”

    https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2024/10/us-black-sea-strategy-takes-another-big-hit-in-georgia-election.html

As with Georgia ditto for Venezuela, Brazil, Palestine, everywhere. You cannot pick and choose Billy and have it both ways. The problems and issues facing the Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians etc are the same as those facing Brazilians, Venezuelan’s, and the rest of the Global South – as well the 99% of Western populations. And arise from the same source.

    1. Dave – Your gullibility is your problem, not mine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
