‘Peace adviser’ Brodsky loses campaign job after genocidal comments about Irish peacekeepers

Candidate demands and obtains Matthew Brodsky’s resignation

Far-right Israel supporter Matthew Brodsky has lost his job on the congressional election campaign of Republican Dalia Al-Aqidi, after Brodsky made disgraceful comments calling for the carpet-bombing and napalming of Irish peacekeeping troops (and their neighbours) who refused Israel’s demand to abandon their posts by a Lebanese village threatened by Israeli troops.

Brodsky, a so-called ‘peace adviser’, also said he hoped the ‘piece of shit’ Irish troops were ‘blasted to bits’ and appeared to call for the mass rape of Irish women, along with those of Spain and Norway, after those three nations recognised Palestinian statehood.

Brodsky’s Twitter account was suspended – and he has now lost his position on Al-Aqidi’s campaign after she reacted to his comments by demanding his resignation – and got it:

Al-Aqidi is standing for Congress in Minnesota, which has significant Muslim and Irish populations and is represented in the House of Representatives by Ilhan Omar, so being associated with an advocate of mass murder of Irish and Arab people would certainly be toxic, but as a candidate for the Republicans it’s unclear how much of her reaction is driven by political expediency.
