Booby-trapped devices and batteries explode – reportedly including iPhone and solar panels, raising questions about worldwide terror threat – as Yoav Gallant announces ‘extensive campaign’
Israel has committed a second wave of terror atrocities in Lebanon as hundreds – as many as two thousand – more walkie-talkies and pagers, and according to some sources solar panels and mobile phones, exploded across Lebanon today. Batteries not inside devices also exploded, suggesting that batteries have been tampered with at source. At least fourteen people have been killed today and more than four hundred and fifty wounded in the indiscriminate attacks, a blatant breach of international law. Sixty to seventy percent of victims of yesterday’s terrorism were reported by physicians to have lost eyes and limbs.
The exploding items are believed to have arrived in Lebanon around five months ago, at the same time as the pagers that blew up yesterday, killing at least one child among nine confirmed fatalities and wounding over four thousand, many hideously.
At least one iPhone is reported to have exploded, with many devices still on shop shelves, making Israeli claims to have targeted specific Hezbollah members with the bombings look highly unlikely – and raising concerns that devices tampered with during production or at despatch could also be a threat to citizens of other countries as Israel’s indiscriminate tactics pose widespread danger.
Israel’s latest terrorist attack came as the United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly for it to withdraw from occupied Palestine and for member nations to end any trade with it that might support its occupation and its genocide in Gaza. The UK abstained on the vote and the US and Israel voted against it, with a handful of tiny nations browbeaten into going along.
Despite the international condemnation, Israel looks determined to trigger regional war and may already have declared one, with Israeli defence minister today announcing ‘extensive action’ and a ‘shift of gravity toward the north’, where Lebanon lies.

In self defence after being attacked Iran sent 300 of their not best missiles against military targets in Israel & many got though, they even took out the most secure US/Israeli base in the world but forewarned the USA to get its personnel out. In response the Zionist Occupation force sent 1 rocket into an empty field.
Iran could take out every US & Israeli base in the Middle East but they don’t want a Grand ME war.
H probably has some of this & has driven 60,000 illegal settlers from Northern Israel but the same applies to them as Iran.
Don’t think we in the West are being told the real impact of I & R missiles for example H recently bombed a crack Israeli military tech base killing 22 and injuring 80.
But I & H know a major escalation could lead to a ME war, there will probably be a tit for tat but they know if the Lumpen USA/UK/European Leaders then pile in on the side of the Zionist Occupation force then as usual millions of diverse working class people will die.

I’m old enough to remember the ‘Cold War’ and the Cuban Missile Crisis and all those public information announcements telling us to hide in cupboards or under the kitchen table (I often wonder if my memory is failing and that it was a myth as it sounds so ludicruous but I am assured it happened!).
I believe it is the 40th anniversary of the incredibly harrowing film ‘Threads’, the aftermath of a nuclear war showing its effect on Sheffield. Just typing this is giving me cold shudders but perhaps it should be required viewing for everyone, with the addendum that today’s nuclear weapons are far more advanced…
