European airlines suspend flights to Tel Aviv after Israeli ‘exploding pager’ terror attack in Lebanon

More economic consequences for rogue state

German national airline Lufthansa and French national carrier Air France announced yesterday that they have suspended all flights to on Tel Aviv, Israel’s most populous city, after Israel’s terror attack in Lebanon in which the regime detonated pagers, killing at least nine people including a nine-year-old girl, and wounded around four thousand.

A Lufthansa statement said the company was responding to the impact of the attack on the regional security situation:

Due to the recent change in the security situation, the Lufthansa Group airlines have decided to suspend all connections to and from Tel Aviv… with immediate effect. This applies up to and including September 19.

The company announced that its aircraft will also fly around Israeli airspace regardless of destination.

Air France said in a statement:

Due to the security situation at the destinations, Air France is suspending its connections from Paris-Charles de Gaulle [to]… Tel Aviv (Israel).

The company said it would re-evaluate the situation daily.

Lufthansa group carriers include SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines. The firm said it was also suspending its flights to Tehran – Israel’s attack wounded the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and last month it assassinated Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital. Air France has also suspended flights to Lebanese capital Beirut.

Israel has suffered severe economic difficulties as a consequence of its genocide of as many as 200,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the killing of almost seven hundred in the West Bank and its assaults on its other neighbours. Israel’s third largest port, Eilat, has gone bankrupt because of the impact of Yemen’s blockade of Israel-bound shipping. Tens of thousands of Israeli businesses have gone bust as a result of the economic effects. Despite these economic consequences, Israel continues to try to provoke a wider regional war with terror attacks that would instantly be condemned by western governments if committed by any other country.

  1. A TERRORIST STATE from its beginning.
Murderous APARTHEID state has now openly showing its GENOCIDAL ETHNIC CLEANSING ROGOUE state it would predictable become.

WE (UK, USA & EU) have created and enabled a monstrosity.

“THE abomination in the Holy Place” EXACTLY as prophesied.

    No ❓❔❓❔❓❔

Belgium calls it: ‘A terrorist act’

UK foreign office appeals for calm.

    1. Quite. The UK “condemns” any and every attack on Israel, but ALWAYS calls for calm and no reciprocal action on Israel even if it would be “self defence” if perpetrated the other way round. Only Israel may commit daily war-crimes for “self-defence!”

      1. Yes, it seems one man’s ‘terrorism’, is another man’s – ‘…significant tactical triumph…the sort of spectacular coup you would read about in a thriller…’ says J. Bowen, BBC International Editor.

    2. “UK foreign office appeals for calm.”

Right up until the announcement of a safety ban on taking any device from a cell phone to a pacemaker which contains a battery onto an airline.

Not to mention the likely massive hit on confidence across the consumer market – from vehicles to electronic devices – this is going to engender.

    1. I thought it was an exaggeration when I first heard. How do some people carry on their daily lives and sleep peacefully? It makes me shudder to think that the eternal victims can do such things. The crescent will be ablaze. We don’t know when but psychological warfare has no time limits.

  4. Some more background:

“The pagers were sold under the brand name of Gold Apollo, a Taiwanese company specialized in such devices. But, according to the company, the devices sold in Lebanon were manufactured under license by the Hungarian company BAC Consulting KFT.

    Lowkey writes:

The CEO and founder of BAC is Cristiana Arcidiacono-Barsony, who describes herself as a strategic adviser in internal affairs with international experience in the Middle East.

According to her academic profile she studied at SOAS and LSE universities in London.

The above points to an MI-6 involvement in the affair.

Elijah Magnier reports (vid) that the delivery of the pagers had been held up for several months by customs in a Middle Eastern country. The time was allegedly used by Israeli services to dismantle the devices and to replace their original Lithium-Ion batteries with ones which included explosives and birdshot to create a maximum of damage. The electronics of the devices were manipulated to trigger delayed explosions after the pager received a certain coded message.

This very sophisticated operations must have cost millions and must have involved a quite large number of specialists.”

Meanwhile, the Chinese cellphone market is about to get a whole lot larger as the implications of this precedent begin to manifest.
