Israel releases 3 handcuffed Palestinian hostages – then shoots them dead

On Sunday morning at the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza, Israel released three Palestinian civilians it had arbitrarily arrested: Muhammad Awad Ramadan Hegazy, Ramadan Awad Ramadan Hegazy and Kamel Ihab Ghabayen.

As the men walked away still handcuffed, all three were shot dead and their bodies left where they fell until they were retrieved by local people, Al Jazeera has reported.

In a statement sent to the Palestinian Information Center, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club – a local non-governmental organisation run by former prisoners of the occupation regime – condemned the war crime and explained that the detainees had been among a group of humanitarian workers seized while trying to find aid in Gaza. The bodies of the men, still bound, were tightly bound and showed signs of torture.

Leaked video footage has exposed systematic torture, sexual torture, beatings and abuse of Palestinian civilians in Israeli detention camps, with numerous deaths in captivity and others suffering the loss of hands or feet because of prolonged tight bindings. Even those who survive relatively intact have been emaciated and suffering clear and profound psychological trauma.

The Prisoners’ Club has issued a renewed demand for the United Nations to intervene and investigate Israel’s war crimes against Palestinian detainees, some of whom have been held for years without charge or trial.

Israel is believed to be holding more than ten thousand prisoners in detention camps, many of them on indefinite ‘administrative detention’ – not including those detained since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Torture of Palestinians held hostage has been widespread, including anal penetration with hot poles, the use of dogs to rape and the rape, sexual assault and execution of Palestinian women and children. Israel has killed or maimed some 140,000 Palestinian civilians since its genocidal assault on Gaza began last October.

In contrast, captives released by Palestinian resistance groups have emerged looking well fed and reporting that they were well treated. Western governments including the UK continue to ignore these facts and support the oppressors and western media have remained largely silent on the asymmetry of treatment and have amplified Israel’s false claims of abuse by Palestinians.

  1. Oh right, it’s so much more fun to the sadistic psychopathic murdering scum to have them believe they are being released and then shoot them in the back and kill them as they walk away.

Just the sort of thing the Nazis would have done to amuse themselves.

  2. If I remember correctly, I came across the following article two or three days after it was posted (on June 25th), but, for some inexplicable reason, the comments section wouldn’t open when I clicked on it. Anyway, I was just in the process of closing some tabs/articles and, as such, came across the article again, and this time the comments section opened, and they are just what you would expect, and most of them no doubt churned out by professional propagandists. As with the article itself – which is based on a falsehood/big lie – and entitled ‘These sinister ‘pro-Palestinian’ protests are a warning to us all’, the comments are concocted and designed to discredit and dehumanise and demonise Palestinian supporters/protesters every-which-way can think of. Here’s a taster:

I believe that the majority of these idiot protesters have no particular love and care for the Gazans / Palestinians. The attraction for them is that this is a trendy cause and they want to enjoy maximum attention as passengers on this latest bandwagon. They are joyless, miserable, losers, who crave attention they obviously don’t get anywhere else. They would attach themselves to any cause that brought them attention.

Agreed, and I believe that many are driven by anti-semitism too

I absolutely support you Mr Cohen [the author of the piece]. The pro-Palestinian marches have created division within this country that we have not seen before. Unfortunately many of those Brits that are marching in support haven’t a clue about history, and are fed left-wing views from a tender age that Palestinians are the good guys along with Hamas, and the Jewish inhabitants are the interlopers.
They have no idea that there has never been an established Palestine, and indeed those that call themselves Palestinians are the Arabs that lived under the mantle of the Iranian Ottoman Empire. Israel was the homeland of the Hewbrews centuries before the Islamic faith was established.

But amongst all the Nazi-type propaganda are a few shining a light on their malevolent, malignant hate-mongering and fear-mongering, and amusing too:

Today we are the “Jewish Chronicle ”

Israel’s biggest export – propaganda and lies

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/06/25/these-sinister-pro-palestinian-protests-are-a-wtarning-to-us/

NB I can only conclude that the reason the article isn’t behind their paywall is because they want as many people as possible to read it, as with other such propaganda shite they’ve churned out.

      1. PS I haven’t read the article. I have no desire whatsoever to sign up for an account with the rag, free or otherwise.

  3. When these investigations are concluded, the results will be presented to the public with transparency.”

    Duhhh, oh, ok then. 🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥

  4. There is no going back, those responsible will be pursued to the ends of the earth
That’s if Israel doesn’t commit suicide, see the Sampson option
