Jailed journalist is free and has left the UK
Persecuted journalist Julian Assange is said to have reached a deal with the US to enter a guilty plea of violating espionage law, in return for the end of the Americans’ disgraced attempt to extradite him. The news comes after UK judges allowed Assange to appeal in light of the US refusal to guarantee he would not be discriminated against because he is not a US citizen.
The case should have been kicked out years ago after the main witness against Assange admitted he had been lying all along.
US prosecutors filed court paperwork regarding the deal, which was first floated in April, and Wikileaks has tweeted that he already left the UK on a flight at 5pm on 24 April:
The news will still set a precedent threatening journalism and the public right to know, but surely few would blame Assange for taking it and ending his and his family’s ordeal.

Unfortunately the guilty plea will preclude Julian from suing the US ‘Justice’ Dept.
Unless he follows Snowden out of the self-identifying so called ‘free West’ Assange, as a result of pleading guilty to this offence, will also be precluded from practicing any kind of effective journalism without risking the same extradition and prison sentence.
As will anyone else who attempts to throw light on the hypocrisy and double standards of the collapsing and hegemonic ‘Rules Based Order’ and its bullshit Narrative. The precedent having now been established in the Assange case.
Does this mean Assange will NOT be deported to the US?
He will not be deported to the US. He is a free man, his plane took off for Australia late Monday afternoon.
He certainly has his liberty.
However, as a result of this plea bargain, Assange is certainly not ‘free’ to continue practicing the kind of necessary effective journalism which highlights the crimes of the authoritarian and fascistic elites who have persecuted him like a bunch of mardy children.
Yes, and principally because the atrocious Sir Liar, the former head-of-CPS that facilitated Julian’s 14 years of interned hell is shortly to waltz into Downing Street as the Establishment’s man.
– and the PtB need him on other fronts (principally, i)a re-run of the Covid Deception (Disease x/bird flu), ii), CBDC and iii), the total ‘reform’/privatisation of NHS) – rather than defending his role in Julian Assange’s repression and abuse.

Think about just one aspect of this: the policy of the removal of the right of a biological woman to obtain a marriage annulment before their self identifying husband is issued a GRC.
The writer of the above linked piece is spot on. The LP manifesto policy on these issues ‘is a betrayal of more than a century of struggle by inspiring women, some of whom died for the cause.’
The Party position, its policies, its attitudes, and its base instincts are deeply misogynistic. An apparent claimed correlation between half the population arguing for the maintenance of hard won immutable sex based rights and people being violently attacked is a novel hypothesis.

This honourable journalist revealed to the world quite how inhuman the US troops are prepared to be. Footage from the US chopper offered an insight into that nation’s low regards for human rights. Even so, Israel and the US (UK) in cahoots will haunt many of us for the remainder of our days.

Assange’s release from Gelmarsh is all part of a stage-change by the British security state Establishment for its Starmer decade? Looks like it.

Well, his lawyers told him he had to follow the ‘Plead Guilty or Die in Jail’ script. Otherwise, no deal.”
