Starmer ‘ordering MPs to abstain’ again on SNP Gaza ceasefire motion

Cowardly Labour leader helped out by Speaker after alleged threat but will still betray Palestinians facing genocide

Keir Starmer is set – again – to order MPs to abstain on the SNP’s motion condemning Israeli war crimes and calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, after Speaker Lindsay Hoyle helped him out by ignoring parliamentary convention.

Hoyle should normally have ruled out Starmer’s weasel-worded amendment to the SNP motion after the Tories tabled their own amendment, but has allowed Labour’s to go forward too, after alleged threats by Starmer and his team to try to remove Hoyle as Speaker if he declined:

Labour’s motion, which makes the situation more about the rights and feelings of Israelis and their apartheid regime instead of the war crimes and slaughter of civilians being perpetrated by their government and military, is unfit, but voting for that will allow Starmer and co to tell voters they have voted for a ceasefire, even when in reality it is nothing more than a regurgitated ‘humanitarian pause’ favouring Israel’s agenda.

Few will be fooled, but Starmer will as usual have the collusion of the mainstream media to push the scam – unless enough Labour MPs rebel to vote for the SNP motion after Labour’s is defeated.

Update: SNP Westminster leader has said his MPs will back Starmer’s feeble amendment:

  1. The SNP will tear apart the Fuhrer and his unequivocal support for Jews committing Genocide
Another nail in Red Tories GE coffin

  2. Looks like hoyle’s shot his bolt.

GOOD. I simply cannot abide that godawful twunt, with his broad Lancashire accent betraying his establishment lickspittle ways.

‘Eh up lad, ah bluddeh luv t’royals, ah doo. I’d eat thur shart wi’ a crust on if it got us a medal, ah wud’.

One horrible, HORRIBLE, crawling, grovelling bastard, that. His (political) demise cannot come soon enough

  3. Starmer is as thick as two short planks and doesn’t seem to understand that he has just given Hoyle the power to take him down.Any threat to Hoyle and its my guess he will spill the beans about his meetings with Starmer and others and the threats they made before he judased the SNP ( and the Palestinians enduring collective punishment and genocide ).
But thats Stramer for you – a really stupid man whose head is so far up his own backside that he would never be able to anticipate this. He is an incompetent vain fool and is only “allowed” to lead the Labour party because as a Zionist without qualification he tugs the forelock to Neranyahu and Biden (another self confessed Zionist.)

    1. Hes in JLM etc als’ pocket as are many . This level of gutter crawling must cost a few Bob but I think its more than that. They’ve got something to hide and it will come out probably when it’s too late. EI must suspect something is going on and JVL gotta have their own suspicions. It ain’t envelopes and junkets.

  4. Hoyle hasn’t got the cojones or the nous to bring starmer down, smartboy.

He’s a fellow establishment rimmer, desperate to be part of the clique, and would join the toerags within seconds of keef was to bin him from his gang.

And there he’d have to crawl further up the toerags ‘arrises than he has keefs in order to try to retrieve that seat in the lords he MIGHT have jeopardised (at the very worst).

And the worst part is, they’ll only replace hoyle with the serial groper of young men nigel evans, another who really ought to have been binned (jailed, in my opinion) but thinks he has an entitlement to the role.

    Plus ca change…

  5. Just having a quick look at The Guardian and spotted the headline ‘How Starmer averted Gaza ceasefire vote crisis’. ‘Averted’ I asked myself after seeing the appalling chaos yesterday?

A read of the article shows the headline should have read ‘How Starmer went bleating to the Speaker to avoid a crisis in the Labour Party totally down to his own utterly shameful stance on ceasefire in Gaza’.

Every time I think Starmer cannot sink any lower he manages to do so.

    1. He’s just learned to swim. God knows what will ensue when he can duck dive for ingots.

  6. Even when he’s painted himself into a corner, the titular leader of Labour makes his own predicament worse. Much worse. He’s daily becoming more un-electable!!

Starmer’s bullying of Speaker Hoyle creates a constitutional crisis – and despite the embedded MSM’s silence on the matter, voters just know that Starmer is bad for Labour, bad for anti-austerity, bad for Palestinians, bad for the country – and bad for the GE Starmer ‘landslide’ victory that providence or the Establishment/FPTP have set-up for him.

We’ve been here before. Blair caused 5m fewer people to vote at General Elections. Starmer’s making it impossible for (same) Labour supporters to vote Labour.

    1. Starmer is making so many mistakes that slide to victory won’t be on a shiny slope but a razor blade.
