Gorst launches campaign to oust Eagle in Garston

Supporters gather at famous Casa socialist bar in Liverpool

Liverpool Community Independent councillor Sam Gorst – who, with colleague Lucy Williams trounced Labour in last year’s local elections in the previously die-hard Labour seat despite a sewer-level smear-filled Labour campaign against him – formally launched his campaign to take the parliamentary seat on Wednesday evening. Gorst, a Garston resident, was selected in a democratic process last month.

Supporters gathered at Liverpool’s famous Casa bar, founded by socialist dockers, to discuss campaign strategy and the need to give hope to local people in a political landscape where the two biggest political parties are in lockstep and the Labour-run city council is in thrall to Tory-imposed commissioners welcomed by Keir Starmer – and heard that the campaign has already raised about forty percent of the funding it anticipates needing for election.

  1. Given that Liverpool is reputedly the most left-wing area of the UK will there be a LCI candidate standing in every Merseyside constituency.

  2. Soon as I seen the article I just knew the first comment would come from the resident nonce enabler.

Why would LIVERPOOL independents contest seats in Southport, St Helens, Wirral, soft shite?

And why would they contest seats where labour has the largest majorities within their party, and indeed the HoC – incidentally, some of the seats held by the few remaining socialists, one of whom they’ve already tried & failed to unseat?

You know, that “good constituency MP” Ian Byrne, that you (and you alone on here) tried to justify keef’s shithousery by saying it was Byrne’s own West Derby CLP chose to “trigger” him, yet it was those same CLP members reselected byrne – despite employing the entire keef playbook of shithousery (that you repeatedly failed to acknowledge during the rigged contest that keef still lost) ?

But hey! At least you were “pleased” Byrne eventually won, eh?

Yes folks, that correct – the “Not a socialist and NEVER has claimed to have been” expressing his “pleasure’ that a socialist MP prevented the shoehorning-in of yet another smarmerite faux-toerag type he never fails to extol.

…That’s when he’s not sneering at “the left” as indeed the nonce enabler’s done with his very first comment of this thread.

Go on, get to fuck. Snivelling, sneering hypocritical irrelevance that you are.

    1. Toffee – For goodness sake get a grip of yourself and stop making stuff up so that you have something to manufacture some outrage about. The facts about the triggering of Ian Byrne are available for all to see.
That you obviously haven’t managed to work out the difference between a trigger ballot at branches and an all member vote is just typical of you. I have previously pointed out on these pages that if the left had got off its arse to vote in the trigger ballot process at branches then Ian wouldn’t have been triggered.

  3. Nothing made up anywhere, nonce case.

If people want to check for themselves they only need use the search box for articles about Ian Byrne and then check your snide comments.

There, they will see plenty of evidence of your sneering, snide shithousery, with not a peep from you regarding the shithouse, antidemocratic machinations of your dear leader to be found anywhere within them.

But you were pleased he won. So that makes everything alright, doesn’t it?

    Keep squirming, nonce case.

    1. Toffee – As i said above, the facts are there for all to see.

You’re deluding yourself again, I don’t care enough about what you think to squirm

      1. Tell you what, nonce case, shall we ask the posters on here who they believe, based on the evidence?

        Hmmm?

      2. Hmmm. Toffee’s version or the reality challenged Billy no mates?

        That’s a tough one.

      1. Nope. Have yet another go, soft Ollie’s.

What actually happened is that you failed to acknowledge any and every instance of smarmer shithousery in his failed campaign to supplant Byrne with a smarmerite.

That’s despite there having been multiple opportunities to do so throughout the entire shit show.

*The CLP officer refusing to sign off on a trigger ballot result.
*Byrne being locked out of zoom meetings
        *Postal vote irregularities
*“Journalists” (I use that term charitably in regards to the known phone hacker and serial defamer, harpin) publishing results of votes before the count ended
        *Intimidation by other candidates
*The Electoral commission being asked to get involved

        (List not exhaustive)

Instead, you clung to the hope that repeating the question (of the reason members were locked out of a meeting early in the process) would distract from all of your repeated failures to openly back Byrne – something you ONLY decided to do once keef’s scheming had fell flat on it’s arse.

Then – and ONLY then – did you slimily and falsely proffer your congratulations to Byrne.

It’s there for all to see if they can be arsed to check. You’re banking on them not being arsed enough but you forget – or rather dismiss – other’s memories as you do their views.

…Oh and your painfully transparent OMOV plea was another example.

You were clinging on to West Derby CLP binning Byrne. It was all too obvious then as your faux congratulation and supposed support for Byrne is now.

And no bastard’s in any doubt that your tune would’ve been an entirely different one had that been the case

        Now be quiet.

  4. Great stuff, now can we have somebody to kick the other Eagle out of Wallasey.

    1. Indeed. I have to suffer the worse-than-useless, lying, whinging get as my mp.

Still waiting for the CLP to grow a set and trigger it.

      1. We were in the process of triggering in 2019, but that stopped when the election was called. I doubt she’ll be triggered this time – a lot of people, certainly in my branch, quit the Party after Starmer’s interview with the S*n, so my branch at least is primarily pro-Starmer/Eagle. So many people left that meetings struggle to be quorate most of the time, in fact, although more people may show up when it comes to candidate selection
