Jessica Straker’s political and moral dismemberment of Starmeroid Tottenham MP is a masterclass as she demands he call for a ceasefire and then resign
Tottenham’s right-wing Labour MP David Lammy has been one of the most prominent faces attempting to excuse and justify Keir Starmer’s disgraceful support for Israel’s war crimes against Gazan civilians. He has also been one of the most eager to enjoy corporate junkets and donations.
And Jessica Straker’s decision to write to Lammy, under a heading of ’23 years of disappointment’, about his appalling record is a master-class in political and moral dismemberment of the politically unfit and morally vacuous – and even better when she tweeted it:

Dear Mr Lammy MP
You have been my MP out of reluctance since the death of Bernie Grant – who was a family friend, with my grandfather being one of the pallbearers at his funeral. Your brother, my uncle Karl, is also a long-standing family friend and is Godfather to my sisters. My family attends St. Philip The Apostle. I have lived in Tottenham all my life and have been disappointed with you as an MP since before I could vote. Bernie Grant has been consistently spinning in his grave for the past 23 years.
You once told my teenage friend, a young black girl from White Hart Lane to not bother pursuing a career as a lawyer at university when she came to you for inspiration and
advice. She is now an award-winning Barrister at a leading chambers. That was my first personal understanding of you in relation to my own network.
So, from a young age I have learnt to ignore you – your politics, your suggestions, your views and perhaps ignorantly, your existence as my serving MP. I have voted for you in the past out of learned loyalty as a Caribbean person, and after that, as a means to avoid Conservatives getting into power. I have never voted for you because I want you as my mouthpiece. It has always been for the greater good (a good which has increasingly become a centrist malaise of purple politics), and I think you will find that many people have done the same.
Your comfortability within your seat is without merit and I believe deep down you know this. The only votes you can probably claim are that of the liberal-guilt afflicted gentrifiers who have been hoodwinked by your rebrands, soothing their disruption of the community by voting ‘Black’ as their shame at driving the prices up on houses along roads with names that make them uneasy after they block local commuters from driving down. You are a careerist, that is clear, and your alignment to Windrush, the diversity conversations that arose from BLM and your moments of condemnation for Grenfell had many of us remain silent – happy that for once your personal interests finally lined up with the community interests. But this current siding with Israel on genocide is abhorrent.
Your recent comment on BBC Radio 4 should have ended without the adage of ‘but’ and all that came after it.
Dropping six bombs on a refugee camp cannot be ‘legally justified’.
I know you identify as English, I sympathise with the sort of tokenism and self-devaluation you have had to do in order to get to where you are – but in turn know that all that has been a choice you didn’t have to make.
I don’t want a response from you, I want you to simply do better – in life. As a member of your constituency, I am asking you to call for a ceasefire and also to resign.

I agree with your comments but would not confine withholding votes from Starmer and Lammy only – decent people should not vote for any Labour MP who does not resign the whip over the failure of the Zionist leader and his Friends of Israel sidekicks to condemn Israel’s vengeful massacres of innocent Palestinian men women and children – around 10,000 as I write this but this figure is increasing by the hour as more homes, refugee camps, hospitals, ambulances, mosques, churches and schools are bombed by Israel including in the occupied territories where Hamas is virtually non existant .

I don’t like Lammy but just because of the colour of his skin you can’t keep referring to slavery. Have you evidence that no black people who laboured indoors were not part of resistance movements? Who wielded the whip? Who provided the runaways rations. Who used literacy to spread resistance. Try a new tack.

In case you didn’t see my post in a previous thread, Richard Tice, the leader of the ultra-right Reform UK, was on GB News on Sunday morning, fraudulently ranting and raving about the ‘pro Hamas’ demonstrators and claiming that on Saturday’s London demo people were chanting ‘Death to the Jews’, and gave the impression that everyone was chanting it. And the presenter ‘interviewing’ him – ie Ann Diamond – just let it pass, and did so knowing that it was a big fat malevolent falsehood and outrageous smear, because needless to say, if it HAD happened (even if it had been just a small group of people on the demo) it would have been a top news story all over the MSM. Including GB News! Yep, he lied through his nasty, fascist teeth, and Diamond let him get away with it, and THAT tells you all you need to know about GB News!
NB I obviously don’t watch GB News, but have been checking it out occasionally during the past four weeks or so to see what they’re spouting, and when I was watching it for a while yesterday morning a small message came up on the screen saying that the John Cleese Hour (or whatever) was on at 9.00pm that evening, which I could hardly believe. I then forgot all about it, but round-about 9.40pm I suddenly remembered and turned it on, and – as it transpired – Cleese was having an esoteric discussion with Stephen Fry. On GB News! WTF!!

Videos of Palestinians being abused in Israeli custody are being shared over Israeli social media channels.
The videos, which show captured Palestinians being beaten and corpses of resistance fighters being abused, were posted in the days following Israel’s recapture of territory surrounding the Gaza Strip that it lost on 7 October, when a Hamas-led attack caught Israeli forces by surprise.
The clips were uploaded to a Hebrew-language Telegram channel with over 100,000 members called “Terrorists from another angle.”
Although The Electronic Intifada has blurred these videos to preserve the dignity of the dead, the clips leave little to the imagination. English subtitles have been added to the videos to draw back the curtain on the thoughts and feelings of the perpetrators and their accomplices.

We, the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, try our best to live despite the siege and the scarcity of everything.
A day in Gaza passes slowly and is filled with fear and anxiety. All you want to do is stay in a safe place and follow the news. Tears never stop: tears over the scenes of death and destruction; tears over the screams of mothers and fathers. We follow the news and fear that we will be the next news item.
No one in Gaza is safe.
