Weapons firm with Israeli supply deal sponsored Labour conference event

CIA-funded spyware firm also among funders at party bash

Labour’s conference earlier this month included events sponsored by an arms firm that signed a major deal with Israel last year – and one by a CIA-funded spyware firm.

The deals were bad enough at the time, but have aged appallingly in the darkness of Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.

Weapons firm Babcock signed a deal with Israeli Aerospace Industries last year to develop a ‘next generation’ deep-find radar’ search-and-destroy system. Fellow sponsor Palantir is a US firm criticised for its central role in former US president Donald Trump’s ‘deportation machine’ and Amnesty International has slammed the firm’s human rights record. Palantir also settled a racial discrimination claim out of court for $1.7m, without admitting wrongdoing.

Starmer, long known as a ‘servant of the security state’, has destroyed the Labour party as a force for good – and his backing of Israel’s war crimes, refusal to call for a ceasefire and insistence on uncritical support for Israel makes him complicit in the genocide of the people of Gaza.
