White House admits no evidence of beheaded children, despite Biden’s ‘confirmed picture’ claim

Biden ‘based comments’ on ‘claims from Netanyahu’s spokesman’ – and claims of Israeli women ‘raped and paraded’ are also unevidenced and denied even by IDF

Joe Biden swore he had seen ‘confirmed pictures’ of Hamas atrocities as Israel bombs civilians

The White House has retracted President Joe Biden’s claim to have seen ‘pictures of terrorists beheading children’ – despite Biden’s emphatic insistence that he had seen ‘confirmed’ photos, the Washington Post has confirmed:

Similar claims about ‘raped and paraded’ Jewish women are also unevidenced and have been dismissed even by the IDF, according to US Jewish paper Forward:

In a recent statement, the Israeli army has dismissed allegations that Hamas beheaded babies, as stated in a report by Anadolu. The claims, which had been circulating on various social media platforms, sparked outrage and widespread condemnation. However, the Israeli army has made it clear that there is no concrete evidence to substantiate these allegations and has urged the public to refrain from spreading false information.

This complete lack of evidence has not prevented hard-right Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu from repeating the claims – or stopped a string of UK ‘news’papers from parroting them on their front pages. Meanwhile, as Israel has reportedly killed more than a thousand Palestinian civilians in its ‘retaliatory’ attacks to add to the hundreds killed and many more maimed yearly under the occupation, Jewish expert Antony Loewenstein gave an interview to an Australian broadcaster that would never have been allowed to proceed in the UK, dissecting the claims of Israel’s supporters and the suffering of oppressed Palestinians. The UK media have continued to attack Palestinian spokespeople in a way that would never be done to Israeli counterparts.

Commentator Damo Willey yesterday asked the question many – but not the media – have been asking: is it realistic to believe that Hamas was able to breach the Israeli wall, which has guard towers every five hundred yards or so, with bulldozers in twenty-nine places and for other attackers to paraglide over the wall, without being noticed by the IDF and Israeli intelligence until after they mounted the attack, particularly as the Egyptian government says it warned Netanyahu it was imminent:

And both the Tories and Labour are falling over themselves to defend Israel’s ‘right’ to cut off food, water and medicines to Gaza’s civilian population – despite such ‘collective punishment’ being a clear war crime banned under international law:

And EU president Ursula von der Leyen has sided with Israel’s behaviour, despite saying only last year that such conduct was a war crime:

UN Secretary General has condemned the war crime and demanded the restoration of supplies of food, water and medicine to Gaza, noting also that the Israeli bombing has killed UN personnel.
