Video: racist Braverman’s criminalisation of support for Palestinians leads to arrest for carrying flag

Manchester police overzealous in acting out racist orders

Police in Manchester have arrested at least one protester, simply for carrying a Palestinian flag, according to Manchester-based journalist Joseph Conway:

Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s racism and Islamophobia – and innate contempt for our civil rights – had seen her issue orders to chief constables to treat the mere carrying of a Palestinian flag as a criminal offence:

According to Conway, there is no indication that the man was doing anything but stand peacefully with the flag.

It is not the first time that a flag has been outlawed in the UK – the Irish flag was banned in the 1950s – but it is the first time in almost seventy years and a sign of the UK’s accelerating slide into police-state status:

Keir Starmer, always an eager enabler of state oppression, helped the Tories pass draconian anti-protest legislation and laws to protect police and their agents from prosecution for their crimes – and today told LBC radio he supported Israel’s ‘right’ to cut off Gaza’s food, water and medicines. He and his fellow Tories were slapped down tonight by UN Secretary General António Guterres, who said that such illegal collective punishment must end immediately.
