Former Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn has been on the picket line at London’s Euston station this morning, where he talked to RMT union leader Mick Lynch and to workers from rail unions fighting for their jobs and pay and for the safety of passengers, against government plans to close all the country’s ticket offices and cut maintenance:
Corbyn continues to provide leadership for the wider movement that shines an unflattering light on the pale establishmentism of Keir Starmer, who banned front-bench MPs from appearing on picket lines – but chickened out of disciplining those who defied him.
