Family and supporters of Belly Mujinga, the rail worker killed by Covid after a man claiming to be infected spat on her, will today hold an event for her birthday and to mark almost two years without justice for her and them. No prosecution followed.

Belly Mujinga, her family, friends, and colleagues are enduring a great injustice. Sir Keith and the Tories in their own party, are unsurprisingly unbothered by such inequality experienced by “The Many” in the “justice” system.

I am sorry for the victim. However, I don’t understand who is the murderer. I will send them a few Bob of course out of class solidarity but remain unclear as to whether this is a celebration or a wake. I wish the family well in their endeavours. Why the secrecy, was there no union involvement, no m.p acting for the family? I have to check this out.
The death from Covid of such a young woman is tragic, particularly when she was helping others to get through the most difficult of times. It is doubly so given that someone assaulted her shortly before she became ill. Others who were similarly assaulted at this time were brought before the courts and received custodial sentences. It seems that we will never know whether or not Ms Mujinga’s death was a result of the assault. What is beyond doubt is that the fact that nobody has been held responsible for the assault must make the situation much harder to deal with, particularly in view of the racial element. Just terribly distressing.
