Breaking: Keyham multiple shooting ‘contained’ – suspect believed to have turned weapon on himself after multiple murders

A gunman has committed multiple murders in the Keyham area of Plymouth this evening, before apparently turning his weapon on himself. Police have said that the incident is not terror-related and that it has been ‘contained’.

The South-Western Ambulance service had earlier tweeted about its attendance at a ‘hazardous’ scene:

We were called at 18:12 to an ongoing incident in Plymouth.

We responded to the incident with a significant number of resources, including Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART), multiple ambulances, air ambulances, multiple doctors and senior paramedics.

Local MPs have asked anyone with footage of victims or of the killer not to publicise it, out of respect for the feelings of victims’ loved ones.
