Labour leader’s speech receives rapturous response

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn received a huge personal welcome from massed young people participating in today’s ‘climate strike’ when he appeared at a London rally, with thousands breaking spontaneously into the well-known ‘Oh Jeremy Corbyn’ chant.
But his message was just as enthusiastically received, with cheers throughout his speech peaking as he told them it was time for the UK to stop ‘hand-holding’ Donald Trump and play a full role in a worldwide effort to address climate change:
