Twitter has responded to a SKWAWKBOX enquiry about the disappearing view counts of videos by Jeremy Corbyn, senior Labour figures and party activists.
A spokesperson for the company said:
A minor issue with our backup system meant that video views were being under-recorded for the past week. This affected all Twitter accounts, not a particular set of accounts. As soon as we were made aware of the problem, it was investigated and quickly resolved.
The view numbers on posts checked by this blog appear to have been restored.

Good result and with the added advantage that Twitter appears to have sorted it quickly and then given an honest and straightforward answer.
This doesn’t explain 10s of thousands of “views” disappearing after they have already been recorded. So not an honest answer and certainly not sorted.
