Sheikh situation reverses again

This article originally stated that Sakina Sheikh had dramatically stepped down from the Lewisham East contest to select Labour’s parliamentary by-election.

Even more dramatically, Ms Sheikh is on the ballot – but some of her supporters had left the hustings in protest.

  1. Good to see the partisans and old hands cementing their control at the expense of new blood.

    In my constituency the Chair is like an all-seeing eye, emailing ppl threatening them with expulsion for posting stuff he doesn’t like on twitter. And then they act confused abt why they can’t engage new members and the young…
