Video: Jeremy #Hunt gets the ‘C’ treatment AGAIN #NHS

It’s not yet been announced whether Theresa ‘Lame Duck’ May’s reshuffle will mean Jeremy Hunt will remain (inexplicably, again) as Health Secretary, but the Freudian link between his name and a certain unflattering epithet continues to cause newsreaders great difficulties.

On this occasion BBC politics reporter Ellie Price is the unfortunate victim – and does remarkably well to take it in her stride:

It’s hard to imagine this continual error happening if that were not how he is regarded, not only by every lover of and worker in our NHS, but also by those who are paid to talk about him on our TV screens and radios.

  1. Oh, yes, and isn’t it interesting how “certain unflattering epithets” rely on denigrating the female anatomy? Not that we’re being discriminated against or anything. Of course.

    1. Yes, and I’m outraged that the word ‘bollocks’ is used to describe just about anything every tory says – ever.

Not that the male anatomy is being discriminated against, of course :p

    2. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could evolve enough not to use “certain unflattering epithets” in the first place and learn to respect ourselves and each other?
First, we need to raise awareness and it’s good to see people doing that. 🙂

      1. Some people naturally get tourette’s when it comes to politicians they dislike. It might not be nice, but it’s entirely understandable, imo.

I do, however, draw the line at ed balls though. Offensive in every way. 🙂

  2. Join the club, @margejoness99. I spend an inordinate amount of time on social media pointing out exactly that. Unfortunately, ‘bell-end’ doesn’t have the same kind of ring to it. I’m currently considering ‘scrote’.
