WATCH: hundreds of thousands defy Macron’s ban and police brutality to protest in Paris

French president Emmanuel Macron’s attempts to quell the outraged protest of the French people is failing. Hundreds of thousands have turned out in defiance of Macron’s protest ban, which he has combined with an effort to demonise the French left.

In Paris, particularly, the streets were filled with protesters:

The protest was so vast that street-level views couldn’t possibly do it justice, astonishing even seasoned observers:

“I don’t think anyone truly grasps the crowd that was in Paris to protest today. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.”
“MPRESSIVE aerial view of the crowd of protesters gathered in Paris.”

And Macron’s politically-bankrupt regime has nothing to offer but more brutality:

“Clashes continue in Paris. Very large police charge in the Vincennes woods to try to disperse the protesters.”

Police violently attacked even those not participating directly in the demo:

“FLASH – A VIOLENT ARREST has taken place in PARIS, on the sidelines of the mobilization this Saturday, October 24.”

French police gave no thought to the lives they endangered of people who were no threat to them:

“A police officer delivers a violent baton strike to the back of a protester’s head. An extremely dangerous act, capable of causing a concussion, an intracranial hemorrhage, irreversible aftereffects, or even death. Such blows are even banned in the UFC.”

And even as protesters tried to leave the city at the end of the protest, they were attacked:

“URGENT: Police are brutally beating all the people waiting for buses or trams to leave Porte de Vincennes this evening in Paris”

The western ‘democracy’ lie has been well and truly laid bare: first by collaboration in needless foreign war, now by states’ contempt for their own people. And the UK is no better.
