Like many, I’m very disappointed with the leadership. Sorry, it’s just not good enough. But I don’t want my membership fees back (I didn’t make a donation originally as I am 100% against donations to political parties, they lead to all manner of ills, regardless of where they come from. To the leadership: You OWE us big time!
It must come as no surprise that MSM are lining up to make hay with this. Sadly, the words I have heard spoken by Corbyn do little to address the problem.That he cannot/will not see the huge asset that Zarah Sultana is beggars belief. If he can, as surely most of us can, then every statement henceforth should start along these lines.
On the grounds of monies, which could readily be bundled up as a miscommunication or crossed-wires, it makes no sense. Corbyn and Sultana in the same room, absolutely without legal teams, makes every sense. Unless it is that Sultana has stated, loud and proud, that she is an anti-Zionist? I’d dared to hope we all are. If not now, when?
With Jeremy Corbyn’s experience of being on the receiving end of false claims of antisemitism, he may be wary of labelling his support for Palestinians as anti-Zionsim – it would very likely lead to more false accusations, magnified by much of the media.
But it doesn’t explain why he’s not engaging with Zara Sultana.
