Occupation desperate to justify slaughter of journalists – and helped by UK ‘mainstream’ media
The Israeli occupation has mounted a major fake news operation to try to smear Palestinian journalist Anas al-Sharif in an attempt to justify murdering him last night – including the creation of fake messages supposedly on the Telegram messaging platform.
Al-Sharif and four Al Jazeera Arabic colleagues were slaughtered last night when Israel bombed their journalists’ tent in the grounds of a Gaza hospital and the occupation immediately began trying to paint al-Sharif, a young father of two and one of the most recognisable journalists of the genocide, as a ‘Hamas’ operative, including faking the Telegram messages supposedly showing al-Sharif celebrating the 7 October 2023 raid in southern Israel:

But as so often, Israel’s arrogance and over-eagerness exposed its own fake news. As well as a number of views and a time of day, the ‘message’ shows a posting date – but real Telegram messages do not show a date at the bottom, let alone the word ‘at’, as this post on the Skwawkbox Telegram channel shows:

Instead, posts are sorted into sections with the posting date at the beginning of each section.
Human rights expert and author Muhammad Shehada said:
This message is completely FAKE! Just went through all of Anas al-Sharif’s messages on Oct 7, 2023, no such messages exists. Telegram doesn’t even put the date on messages. Israel is so desperate to justify murdering Gaza’s top journalist, but all they have are doctored docs, fake screenshots & a picture he took *as a journalist* with Gaza’s rulers.
Proving his point further, Shehada posted al-Sharif’s Telegram channel messages for that day:

Israel’s hackers appear then to have attempted to create an ‘archive’ link showing the faked post, which never existed in al-Sharif’s channel. ‘X’ AI Grok was apparently told to classify the post as genuine, but later adapted to the evidence and concluded the post was fabricated:

The AI went on to note that numerous fact-checks had found the Israeli post to be fake news.
The Israeli smear against al-Sharif is not new. Almost a year ago, when Israel put him and other journalists on a public kill list, the occupation claimed they were ‘Hamas terrorists’, a completely fictional claim. At the time, Shehada spoke on al-Jazeera about the Israeli lie:
Despite the easily-disproven lie, the BBC and other ‘mainstream’ broadcasters were quick to repeat it and treat it as newsworthy:
The Palestine news page that posted the above video commented:
BBC and Sky News — instead of fulfilling their duty as media outlets meant to convey the truth — have become platforms that echo the Israeli occupation’s narrative.
They have consistently marginalized the Palestinian reality and buried the crime by stripping it of its context, never once acknowledging that the assassination of Anas al-Sharif was part of a systematic campaign to target journalists in Gaza.
Sky subsequently rowed back partially, saying that Israel had “only produced limited evidence about its claims” and acknowledging that Israel has targeted journalists throughout its war on the people of Gaza – but the BBC does not appear to have diverged from its repetition of Israel’s false claims as if credible. Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy have not even mentioned the murders, much less condemned them, though Starmer has found time to publish posts attacking refugees and ‘illegal’ immigrants.
Anas al-Sharif was just 28 years old when he was murdered. He and his colleagues should be remembered as the courageous truth-tellers they were, who exposed Israel’s crimes as long as they was able – and al-Sharif as a family man deliberately deprived of the chance to see his young son and daughter grow up:
His self-discipline in keeping a distance from his family almost certainly saved them – Israel operates AI named ‘Where’s daddy’ designed to murder journalists, medics and others as they arrive home to their families, slaughtering wives and children along with their targets.
Skwawkbox’s Steve Walker told an emergency protest outside the BBC’s office in Liverpool on Monday evening that Israel’s murder of Anas al-Sharif and his colleagues came as it prepares its ‘final solution’ expansion of its genocide in Gaza, clearly calculating that it was easier to trigger outrage by murdering them than allowing them to report on its crimes.
Others will take their place, but the guilt of Israel and its collaborators in and out of government must not be forgotten or escape justice.

With their dozens of crimes against humanity committed each and every day, the international court backlog’s gonna make the UK court system look like instant justice.
From first case to last, it’ll probably take longer than it did to try tje lot of them. So much so that they’ll end up prosecuting them when they’re in they’re 90s…if most of them are prosecuted at all (but not a single one of them shouldn’t face trial and retribution, from benny to grunt)
The fanatical zionists claim: “nobody’s innocent in gaza.”
With the amount of atrocities committed by zionist Israel the same charge can legitimately be levelled at them.
But it’s all lies…LIES, I tells ya.
Remember when they DIDNT fire a rocket into that hospital?
Remember when they ‘proved’ hamas had an underground command centre by showing the world a CGI cartoon?
And that stash of weaponry behind an MRI scanner?
With that list of ‘hamas operatives’ pinned to the wall?
Well that was just the beginning.
The saying goes: “Oh, what a tangled web we weave , when first we practice to deceive “
Except it isn’t a tangled web….its a constant flow of bullshit, like a dairy farmer with a virus gone through the herd.
What would happen? The herd would be euthanized. The same applies here.
Hang the fucking lot of them. I’ll happily provide a length of stout hemp rope.
From first case to last, it’ll probably take longer than it did to try the lot of them nazis from wwii
*fixed.
Israel, its secret services and their numerous lobbies expect that the ‘antisemitic’ independent media like Aljazeera and Skwawkbox publicly contradict their lies, but they didn’t expect that the likes of CNN, PBS, snopes, Washington Post, etc etc.,, would report the murder of Aljazeera’s journalists AS brutal, incontrovertible FACT.
Israel has lost the comprehensive support of the MSM – except (predictably?) NYT and the(buck-awful)Guardian. Check for yourself.
End-days of Israel’s genocide approaching?
I unfortunately came to the same conclusion regarding the Guardian and its abject failure to hold Netanyahu to even the mildest of accounts, then they did the same for arch Zionist Starmer. I believe you also contributed to the Guardian BTL as I did (TheGreatRonRafferty being my moniker at the time). Of course, having my own view on Netanyahu and Starmer saw me “disappeared.” Of Late, the Guardian seems to have realised that it has been made a fool of by the Israeli government, and the Starmer cuckoos, and is backtracking on its former staunch and unjustifiable support for both. Too late, I’m afraid. Once you have lost trust, you’re never getting it back. The same applies to the BBC.
The same applies to anyone claiming it was RAF planes that were attacked, without pointing out that they are in fact planes belonging to an American private equity company. Their ownership explains a great deal why PA was pronounced a terrorist group. Can’t have the oiks causing damage to the property of the world’s wealthy, can we?
That particular “world’s wealthy” are on an inevitable downward spiral into obscurity.
Here’s Professor Richard Wolff from earlier this year:
WOW winteringham, – you’re TheGreatRonRafferty? I never knew that! I remeber your posts from the pre-Alan Rusbridger-sell-out-Gaurdian well! Like me, were you de-registered by them for posting ‘antisemitic’ pro-Corbyn posts, or was your termination pre-Corbyn/pre-2015?
why aren’t you(TheGreatRonRafferty) on ‘Off Guardian (because facts *really do* matter)? It was started by people who CIA-appointed Katherine Viner expelled from theGuardian..
I was on several sites about this news yesterday, and it is full of bots all declaring that he was well known as a Hamas fighter. It seems to be a major effort by Israel and its supporters. There was a time, long, long ago, (Well 1967 to be precise) when I accepted the Israeli lies. Since then I have become older (definitely!) and wiser (hopefully!) and suspect every one of their claims. If I was being exceedingly generous I would say that 95% of stuff coming from the Israeli government and its fans is an outright lie.
VIZTOFFEE’S TOP TIP:PROTESTORS …Tired of your protests making little impact?
Change tack. Start calling for the death penalty for

Make the bastards uncertain. Remind them that the law applies to everyone.
