Socialist music venue and community kitchen running Sutton event next weekend

The Sound Lounge is run by socialists for the good of the community and if you’re within reach you have a chance to help

Keiron Marshall and award-winning musician Hannah White and their team run the Sound Lounge to serve their community in South London’s Sutton, providing music and sound training to young people, a free community kitchen for hungry local people and much more, as well as operating as a lively music venue.

Next weekend, 16 August, the Sound Lounge is running ‘Folk in the park #1’, its inaugural, all-day live music festival in Sutton’s award-winning green space, Manor Park, with a ten percent allocation of free tickets to disadvantaged people. Below, Keiron and Hannah explain a little of what they are doing in their local community:

Some tickets are still available. To book places and find details of all the bands and artists taking part, click here.

  1. Hats Off to Sound Lounge Sutton and wish them every success!
Wish we had one in my city.
Hope Folk In The Park 16/8 goes well!
And should let the Peace & Justice Project know as they are big on supporting grassroots music venues.
The new Left Party initiated by JC & ZS & their 700,000 sign ups to date should get involved in similar projects.
    SOUND LOUNGE SUTTON! ♥️
