UK spy flights for Israel over Gaza continue – but through private contractor

Starmer regime appears to be seeking ‘arms length’ deniability in its support for Israeli genocide but trail back to Whitehall is clear

Investigative journalism by Palestine Deep Dive‘s Matt Kennard and Abdullah Farooq has revealed that the UK has moved its spy flight operations over Gaza in support of Israel’s genocide from directly-operated RAF planes to aircraft belonging to a US military contract that describes itself as “an established mission partner” of the RAF and other UK military.

The kind of routes flown to support the Israeli military are seen (above) for the first time after one of the US plane’s pilots apparently forgot to turn off its transponder while over Palestinian territory.

The switch appears to be an attempt by the Starmer regime to put some ‘arm’s length’ deniability between itself and Israel’s state terror in Gaza – but the reality is exposed by the fact that the RAF provided the mercenary plane with an escort aircraft over Gaza on at least five occasions for what appear to have been training or hand-over missions.

The flight path of the US-leased spy plane from RAF Akrotiri to Gaza and back on 28 July 2025.

RAF planes have flown over Gaza since December 2023, but Starmer has come under increasing pressure to make a show of condemnation as the scale and intensity of Israel’s deliberate starvation of the people of Gaza has become undeniable. However, it is clear that he has no intention of ending his and his government’s collaboration.

It’s not yet known whether the US owners are operating the flights or only providing the aircraft and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) refused to respond to Deep Dive’s enquiries, while the US Department of Defense referred the publication back to the MOD. Deep Dive was able to track one flight for three hours over Gaza, after which Israeli aircraft bombed civilians in the same area covered by the flight.

  1. Another ‘contractor’?? WT absolute F is next?

Soldiers/sailors to be employed in the gig economy? They soon won’t be taking the king’s shilling, it’ll be taking the elbit shekel FCAUFS

    1. Toffee, the RAF don’t even own all their own planes. Some of their planes are owned by Zionist Companies who are leasing them to the RAF !!!

Work that one out. Another country is running this nation of ours.

  2. So how much is this “contractor” costing us to whitewash Starmer as supporter in Chief of his own country (and I don’t mean the UK or any part thereof). Like those “RAF” planes that were given a paint job, don’t belong to the UK, but another US contractor…… The fundamental question remains … WHY is the UK spying for Israel in the middle of a genocide?

    1. One thing is for sure, these [ahem!] “contractors”……..

      …….won’t be whitewashing anyone – whether it’s the current first eleven or the previous one;

“This incident does not simply reflect profligate military adventurism; it reveals a worrying normalization of illegal foreign intervention by the British government.

The deliberate misrepresentation, invocation of diplomatic immunity, and demand for prisoner-of-war status for what were clearly covert military actors constitute a serious abuse of international norms and treaty obligations.

If proven, these acts represent not only a violation of the UN Charter and the Geneva Conventions, but also a brazen attempt by the United Kingdom to fuel proxy warfare under the guise of NATO solidarity.

The case of Colonels Blake and Carroll must be interpreted as part of a broader pattern of illegal hybrid warfare tactics employed by Western powers that continue to undermine global stability and erode the integrity of international law.”

Looks like brown trousers are coming back into fashion.

  3. Let us not forget that this is the most incompetent spying mission EVER. Based on what we’re told … admittedly by a known liar who couldn’t tell the truth if 2 million Palestinian lives depended on it ….that the flights are to find the hostages (not the ones held by Israel of course, the ones raped, tortured, starved, underage). And NOT a single hostage has ever been found. SO why are WE paying? What the hell does it have to do with us?

  4. When will Parliament have a say in these actions? Starmer runs the Labour Party as though it is his own private fiefdom, with the weasel and spineless “MPs” so obsessed by their own careers and money that they are happy to do as he and McSweeney tell them (Mrs McSweeney, the former London councillor, now MP for Clydesdale, got a plumb job with Rachel from Accounts, so no nepotism there…). And through a compliant and lily-livered party he dictates what happens in the country (I should clarify, THIS country, NOT the one he obviously owes allegiance to)….

  5. Right Wing Neo/Liberal Labour outsourcing after we learnt Tories outsourced RAF bases who now only rent them from a private company with the taxpayer footing the bill.
And perhaps this is what Starmer & Trump get up in discussions as the lumpen two are captured by Neo/Liberalism.
But a direct action group exposed the lack of security and perhaps to extract the maximum profit the private sector CHEAP
    Option perhaps scrimps on security?
Neo-Liberalism – buy cheap, pay twice.

      1. The company is Sierra Nevada Corporation, from the USA.
