Breaking: at least 16 drones above humanitarian vessel Handala as it nears Gaza

Ship’s predecessor Conscience was bombed by drones – contact your political representatives to demand action

At least sixteen drones – almost certainly Israeli weapons – have been seen above the Freedom Flotilla humanitarian vessel Handala tonight as it sails toward Gaza carrying desperately needed baby food and medicines to break Israel’s criminal starvation blockade.

Last night, the ship’s communications were disrupted and its propellers were sabotaged and its water supply poisoned before it left its final Italian port to sail to Gaza:

The ship’s immediate predecessor, the Madleen was attacked and seized in international waters by Israeli troops and its crew imprisoned. The first ship of this year, the UK-flagged Conscience, was bombed by drones, also in international waters – both grave breaches of international and maritime law, to complete inaction and silence from the Starmer regime.

The Flotilla is asking supporters to contact their political representatives to demand urgent action to protect the ship from the genocidal regime – and to follow its live YouTube feed to ensure the world’s eyes are on what it happening:

  1. contact your political representatives to demand action

Mate, must I remind you that the representative for my area is the beyond woeful angela illeagle?

And that in all fairness, illeagle’s not even LFI?**

Sure there’s someone (regular-ish) on here, suffers keef as their MP.

And a few thousand were outside his taxpayer-funded Ken last night banging pots ‘n’ pans and generally making a racket.

Except keef’s likely hightailed it up to bonny Scotland to bend over for donald, again.

    **AFAIK.

  2. I am approaching 80. I have heard/read/seen quite a few famines across the world during that time, all of which received some aid from the west in general and the UK in particular. BUT Gaza is different in every way. IT is a crime by one country against another, and NO western nation, the UK in particular is lifting a finger to help. Perhaps the reason has more to do with people thinking that we didn’t elect a government led by a PM, but we elected a President. Certainly the last year has shown us that Starmer believes he is the all-powerful president of the UK, making decisions completely isolated from any input from MPs or Ministers (who cower to him the same way that Trump’s appointees cower to his bizarre decisions).

If we can get back to collective government by a committee/multi-personnel body under Corbyn (which I believe is what underpins his beliefs), then we wouldn’t have one person making ridiculous, disastrous, unBritish decisions in an isolated room in Number 10.
