Video: dozens arrested,100k+ threatened as police roll out proscription abuse to London & England

Police-state use of deliberately vague threats to chill free speech and protect Israel as Met joins misuse of Palestine Action proscription and dozens arrested across England

The Met Police arrested at least fifty-five people in London today and dozens in other parts of the country as the London force rolled out the misuse of the proscription of Palestine Action (PA) to threaten and arrest anti-genocide protesters with no connection to the group – and others for opposing the Starmer regime’s decision to use anti-terror legislation to ban the direct action anti-war group.

Signs were illuminated along the route of today’s anti-genocide march through London threatening marchers with arrest for ‘abusive’ chants – with no indication what ‘abusive’ means, but it is clear that chants against the genocidal colony are being treated as such – and for ‘support[ing] a proscribed organisation’, again with no indication what would be taken as ‘support’.

Despite a judge’s ruling that anti-genocide and pro-Palestinian protest is a right in the UK, police forces have said they will continue to treat the mere display of Palestine flags, keffiyeh scarves and anti-genocide slogans as grounds for arrest – and it seems to have been the same today, with marchers dragged and even carried off, while a right-winger with a large dog who allegedly assaulted a peaceful marcher was treated far more gently:

Outside London, at least eight people, including pensioners, were arrested under the Terrorism Act in Truro after teh ‘Defend our Juries’ group protested against the Starmer regime’s use of terrorist classification to ban PA:

And in Bristol, at least seventeen were arrested after a similar protest:

Meanwhile, on the same day that people were arrested for holding a placard or chanting against mass slaughter, the UK welcomed Israeli air force head Major General Tomer Bar, the man considered one of the main architects of Israel’s Gaza genocide, which has murdered around 400,000 people so far and maimed countless others.
