BBC cuts to Bob Vylan to avoid Kneecap’s pro-Palestine set. Vylan: “Death to the IDF!”

Poor old biased BBC just can’t win – anti-Zionism and humanity are wherever it looks

Defiant Irish rap band Kneecap rocked the Glastonbury music festival today and mocked the BBC’s difficulties in editing out their pro-Palestinian lyrics and the sea of Palestine flags in the audience. The cowardly BBC, to its shame, cut its stream completely to prevent viewers seeing the show of pro-Palestinian, anti-genocide solidarity.

To fill the hole in the broadcast left by cutting away from Kneecap, the BBC switched to grime-punk duo Bob Vylan. Surely that would solve its problem and maintain its complicit silencing of resistance? To the deep satisfaction of humanity, not really.

One genocide-opponent’s reaction to the BBC’s car crash.

Vylan’s set, knowingly or otherwise, filled the anti-genocide hole that the censorship of Kneecap left open. “Death to the IDF” was one lyric, against a backdrop of “Free Palestine/United Nations have called it a genocide”. And, just to rub salt in the wounds of any Zionist editors: “The BBC calls it a ‘conflict'”:

Earlier, Anglo-Turkish singer Nilufer Yanya had performed a set that included a backdrop reading “Free Free Palestine”, and a banner supporting Palestine was unfurled on stage.

Cue another melt-down among the ‘friends of genocide’ Israel lobby, which declared itself ‘outraged’ and ‘disgusted’ at the lyrics and ‘reprimanded’ the BBC for daring to air them – which of course it wouldn’t have, if it had stuck with Kneecap.

Yet again, we’re supposed to accept that the feelings of genocide supporters are more important than the lives, deaths, suffering and rights of innocent Palestinians under Israeli occupation and mass murder.

As Kneecap or Vylan might say: “F*** that – free, free Palestine!” To the Hague with the genocide-enablers.

  1. Christ, I mean Bravo and all that, but I fear they’ll be getting serious grief from the dirty tricks lobby for that!

  2. Hahaha!! Superb! I can smell the BoD/CAA fume from here 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    *Pauses for breath *

    😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

  3. It appears that the pro-genocide lobby cannot keep the stopper on the bottle of public revulsion at the activities of zionist Israel and the IDF.
    How sad !
    How very very sad !

  4. Lyse Doucet used to be my favourite BBC correspondent, A reputation, with me, that she built up over many years of fearless reporting. Then this weekend she told us that Iran restricts what journalists can broadcast, without saying that the IDF are at least as restrictive, insist on knowing what films you are broadcasting, have jailed Israelis for videoing on their i-phones, and that Israel have killed more than 200 of her colleagues in just eighteen months. Oh dear Lyse, all that previous great work blown to smithereens to satisfy the Israel lobby and their servants in the BBC. You’ll NEVER get your reputation back. Was it worth it?

  5. The Today programme doubling down on their pro-Israel reporting again today. They have assumed that the chant was “Death to the IDF,” without even assuming that it might have been DEAF to the IDF, which would be the more rational thing to state, because, apart from anything else, the 10 Britons alleged to have committed war crimes whilst in the IDF, can apparently return to the UK unchecked. Meanwhile the government refuse to allow Shamima Begum back into the country, have taken her UK nationality away and the worst she can be accused of is “supporting” by way of marriage, an ISIS fighter. No-one that I know of has ever suggested that she was directly involved in atrocities or war crimes. Then of course, we had those men who fought for Ukraine investigated on their return. Once more our government makes itself hypocritical in support of the government of Israel itself led by an alleged war criminal, and years’ long evader of justice.
