Israel breached US president Donald Trump’s claimed ‘agreement’ for a ceasefire between it and Iran within minutes of it supposedly coming into force. Trump had heard of Israel’s intention and took to his ‘Truth Social’ platform to warn them not to ‘drop those bombs… it is a major violation’:
The Netanyahu regime – of course – went ahead and ‘dropped those bombs’, in this case in northern Iran:
Trump then went on screen to say he was unhappy that “Israel unloaded right after the deal”. Has he met Netanyahu?
Nobody is or should be surprised that Israel breached its promise – Netanyahu had publicly confirmed accepting the deal – and continues to do so today. The US-brokered supposed ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza was breached repeatedly every day, with Israel murdering thousands of Palestinian civilians, attacking hospitals, slaughtering journalists and abducting people throughout its short duration – until finally Netanyahu decided to dump even the idea of a ceasefire and imposed a starvation blockade on Gaza that has lasted almost four months and is broken only by Israel tempting starving Palestinians into the open with the idea of food so it can shoot and bomb them.
Following the same pattern, Israel breached its ‘ceasefire’ with Lebanon no less wantonly, murdering medics, journalists and civilians, bombing hospitals and generally acting as if there was no ceasefire at all, except to complain if Lebanese forces fired back.
And Netanyahu has every intention of continuing to attack Iran – and his regime is not even shy of saying so:
Trump then lost any semblance of cool – but of course ‘both-sidesing’ the issue as if Iran is the same rogue state that Israel is – grumpily complaining that they “don’t know what the f*** they’re doing”:
The Starmer government, ever eager to roll over to have its tummy tickled, has said that the UK will ‘defend our allies’ against the one country in the Israel-driven mess that is not breaking international law:

Israel were claiming this morning that Iran fired a missile (or two) into northern Israel and violated the ceasefire:
The IDF said it sounded sirens in northern Israel “due to missile fire from Iran” around 3:30 a.m. ET. Israel and Iran earlier launched strikes at each other shortly before acknowledging the beginning of a ceasefire, but an Israeli official told the Associated Press that two more missiles were detected and intercepted hours after the start of the ceasefire.
The Israeli Embassy in London published a photo purporting to show a rocket fired at Israel by Iran during the ceasefire, adding: “Iran continues to show its true nature as a terror state and a regional threat.”
According to Iranian state media, Iran’s armed forces denied Israel’s claims that it fired fresh missiles at Israel after the ceasefire began and leveled accusations against Israel of its own ceasefire violations, alleging three strikes across Iran earlier in the morning after the ceasefire had begun.
Iranian state media claimed, citing unnamed sources, that Israel’s allegation of a ceasefire violation was “pretext” to engage in further aggression. The report also reiterated Iranian threats that any breaches of the ceasefire by Israel or the U.S. would be met with “stronger retaliation.”

Prof Jeffrey Sachs agrees with you Skwawkie. He reckons the U.S. has been running its foreign policy in the Middle East “on behalf of Israel for the last 30 years.” Trump’s Saturday night bombing of Iran didn’t make this truer – just more obvious.
Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, its apartheid over millions of Palestinians, and its violent oppression-cum-genocide in Gaza can only happen because US presidents allow themselves to be subjugated by AIPAC and Israel.

PS I was actually looking to see if I could find out how many people the IOF murdered altogether during the two-month ceasefire, but couldn’t find anything, but it was no doubt several hundred – ie two or three or more a day, and they knew they could do so with impunity, because they knew the Western MSM were gonna keep schtum about it. And they DID, of course!

Gaza rescuers say 46 killed as UN slams US-backed aid system
The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) called the system an “abomination” while a spokesman for the UN human rights office, Thameen Al-Kheetan, condemned the “weaponisation of food” in Gaza.
According to figures issued on Tuesday by the health ministry in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, at least 516 people have been killed and nearly 3,800 wounded by Israeli fire while seeking rations since late May….

Mass demolitions have continued in the northern West Bank, with bulldozing of residential buildings occurring in Jenin and Tulkarm camps, in execution of mass demolition orders previously issued by Israeli Forces, including those of 1 May (for Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps) and 9 June (for Jenin Camp).
Settlers’ violence was ongoing despite heightened movement restrictions. On 17 June, Israeli settlers reportedly established a new settlement outpost on Palestinian land south of Sinjil, blocked roads and made property measurements in advance of anticipated further settlement expansion in the South Hebron Hills.
