Palestine Action to be added to list of proscribed groups alongside ISIS and al-Qaeda – for trying to stop mass murder of Palestinians
Right-wing Home Secretary Yvette Cooper plans to ban – or ‘proscribe’ the Palestine Action (PA) anti-genocide group over the summer, according to the BBC. The move will mean PA is treated as a terrorist organisation, listed alongside the likes of ISIS and al-Qaeda – and membership of, or support for, the group will become illegal. Cooper is said to be preparing a written statement to Parliament on Monday.
Cooper’s pretext for the decision is the ‘actionists’ protest at RAF Brize Norton where – horror of horrors – two military planes were sprayed with red paint. Police are treating the protest early this morning as a terrorist incident. PA released GoPro footage of the planes being sprayed:
The RAF has flown almost daily spy flights over Gaza to provide Israel with intelligence during its genocide in Gaza and has provided refuelling flights to Israeli planes attacking Iran, yet spraying paint is a terrorist act. Apparently.
The move is a further escalation of Keir Starmer’s intensive ‘lawfare’ war on anti-genocide activism and journalism, in which the regime is colluding with Israel to misuse anti-terror laws, with potential prison sentences of up to fourteen years, against those who speak out for Palestinian lives and human rights and against Israel’s mass slaughter of almost 400,000 innocent civilians. Some PA activists are being held in prison for more than a year before they even come to trial, as the government tries to ‘make the process the punishment’.
Palestine Action has been asked for comment.

Magna Carta (1215) Charter of the Forest (1218), Peasants Revolt (1381), The Levellers (1649), those attending what became the Peterloo Massacre (1819), Chartists (1848) the Suffragettes early 20th century, Poll Tax Riots (1990)March against the Iraq War (2003). Most of those protests against rulers eventually achieved more democracy in the UK. Many of their successes are currently under threat from the Labour Party, THE LABOUR PARTY (to echo Kinnock)
Missing from that list are:
(i) a UK political party established in the year 1900.
(ii) Trade Unions
(iii) CND

When the International Court of Justice declared with the Israeli leaders concerning Gaza there is a case for “Plausible Genocide” many of us supported this by traditional forms of protest and some chose direct action in which NO human beings were harmed.
But WE are all complying with the spirit of the international law court ruling!
