Video: hundreds of diplomats, lawmakers, volunteers set off from Tunisia, Algeria to Gaza’s Rafah crossing

Convoys and individuals from all over the world will gather in Cairo before travelling en masse to Gaza border

A convoy of over 200 diplomats, lawmakers, volunteers and activists has set off from Algeria on the first leg of their journey toward the Rafah crossing as part of a global march to break Israel’s criminal starvation siege of Gaza:

At around the same time, a similar number was setting off from Tunis:

All international convoys and those travelling individually – including UK socialist programme-maker Crispin Flintoff and his cameraman Carlos Soto – will gather in Cairo on Thursday before heading to Rafah to try to pressure their governments to force Israel to open the crossings into Gaza and end its criminal starvation siege of Gaza’s two million surviving people. Ten thousand or more activists are expected to gather in a ‘land flotilla’ to partner with the sea voyage of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla vessel Madleen, which was illegally attacked with chemical weapons in the early hours of this morning before being seized and dragged to Israel and its crew taken hostage.

  1. The Isreali government will no doubt call it a ‘selfie’ convoy.

  2. ‘JUST IMAGINE?
MILLIONS OF VESSELS SAILING TO GAZA.
WOULD THE UNCIVILISED WESTERN GOVERNMENTS HEED ‘EM?
AS THEY SAIL UNDER ONE FLAG FOR PALESTINE WHICH READS:
    PEACE, BREAD & FREEDOM!’
