After Israeli forces attacked the ship with chemical weapons from drones and rammed it with boats, troops have boarded the vessel in international and all communication with it has been lost. The UK and other governments remain silent and have taken no action to protect the volunteers or their UK-registered vessel from the terror state.

I hope the crew are ok but this was utterly predictable. That’s the trouble with liberals. When they get hold of a good cause, they can’t help turning it into a virtue -signalling exercise.
Foolish remark. These people were risking their lives. To try and twist that into ‘virtue signalling’ is just rank cynicism.
Well timfrom, what is your “solution” to the starvation in Gaza (a war crime) … Maybe war crimes don’t matter to you. But my fear of Blair’s illegal invasion of Iraq was that it “legitimises” other countries doing the same. How can the UK complain about the illegal invasion of Ukraine, or Taiwan (if it happens) when a Labour Government … A LABOUR government … has done exactly the same? What leg would we stand on if war crimes were used in some future invasion of the UK? If it was British children being killed, burned alive, targeted by “brave” snipers, women raped, people imprisoned in the kind of jails the Israelis are using, where men and women are routinely raped, starved, maltreated in the most appalling way. ALL of us have to stand up to this abuse of power as best we can. But maybe I’m just “virtue signalling” instead of acquiescing to an abhorrent regime? How terrible of me!!
Don’t be ridiculous. You know from my previous posts where I stand on Gaza. But this was bound to happen the moment they set sail. This stunt would never achieve anything other than a boosted social media profile (and possible martyrdom) for Greta Thunberg. Anybody with a realist view of the situation knows this.
Personally, I’ll be on the march in London on the 22nd, to protest this “Labour” government’s role in this atrocity and the dangerous precedents they are setting for the future. Will you?

And just to emphasise your virtue signalling, may I ask you to try to find reference in the MSM to this last weekend’s pro-Palestine March in Northern Ireland. You’ll find reference to it only in the Northern Irish newspapers, and then only with reference to four arrests being made and a flag (shock horror) of a “proscribed organisation” which is the subject of an ongoing investigation. How dreadful … a flag!
Virtue-signalling is when you do something, from which you stand to gain, on a public stage with lots of people watching who know who you are.
Going on a march, while being done “in public”, is an anonymous act by many people acting as a collective for no personal gain.

If Greta Thunberg had not been on the boat, no-one would have known much about this at all. She didn’t know whether she would get out of this alive, injured, traumatised or safely, so I have the utmost respect for her. Now have you found ANY reference to the March in NI in the MSM? The ONLY reference you get, even in the local papers is the negative publicity of four arrests, because as well all know down here, the MSM is effectively owned by the Israel lobby. Sad to say, your march in London will achieve nothing. Probably no mention in the MSM, unless you do something that gets you arrested. Starmer and Lammy will ignore you 100% and they will continue supplying weapons to Israel to kill more innocent Palestinians. They are confirmed supporters of Israel, and could sit in the Knesset in Netanyahu’s government without anyone noticing. Take a look at this, which I have posted elsewhere.
