Free discussion and frank acknowledgment of genocide and war crimes, with minimal prevarication from presenters, shows disastrous state of UK ‘msm’ and democracy
Actor and humanitarian Liam Cunningham was originally reported as part of the crew of the Madleen, the Gaza Freedom Flotilla humanitarian vessel en route to Gaza with aid for the Palestinians suffering under Israel’s illegal starvation siege. However, given space constraints Cunningham did not sail with the Madleen but instead returned to Ireland to tour media studios to raise the profile of the Flotilla, of the starving Palestinians the Madleen is trying to help and the horrific crimes Israel is perpetrating on them, including an appearance on Virgin News Ireland.
And the interview could hardly have contrasted more sharply with the scandal of UK ‘mainstream’ media coverage. Cunningham was given space to talk freely about Israel’s genocide and other crimes, about its bombing of the Madleen’s predecessor, about the horrific suffering of the Palestinian people – and about the failings of an Irish government that is still city blocks, not just streets, ahead of the collaborating UK government that is actively enabling and assisting Israel’s genocide:
One presenter made a token effort to defend the Irish government, which had not sent a spokesperson to participate in the discussion, but that was soon brushed aside and Israel’s crimes, its arrogance and the threats of the US government attempting to protect the supremacist colony were addressed.
Bravo Liam Cunningham and the Virgin News Ireland presenters. Shame on the UK government and the feeble, colluding excuses for ‘journalists’ that fill most slots on UK ‘mainstream’ media.
Solidarity with the Madleen crew and their support team. Free Palestine.

Jonathan Cook made this revealing observation in an article he posted a couple of weeks ago entitled ‘Ignore Starmer’s theatrics. Gaza’s trail of blood leads straight to his door’, which is actual proof that all the sudden condemnation of Israel was contrived and artificial and orchestrated and disingenuous:
<emAs if under the direction of a hidden conductor, Britain, France and Canada – key US allies – erupted this week into a chorus of condemnation of Israel.
They called Israel’s plans to level the last fragments of Gaza still standing “disproportionate”, while Israel’s intensification of its months-long starvation of more than two million Palestinian civilians was “intolerable”.
The change of tone was preceded, as I noted in these pages last week, by new, harsher language against Israel from the western press corps.
The establishment media’s narrative had to shift first, so that the sudden outpouring of moral and political concern at Gaza’s suffering from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney – after more than a year and a half of indifference – did not appear too abrupt, or too strange.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if his sudden change of tune had something to do with the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse byelection that was coming up!
THAT should have looked like this:
