Support for Labour falls to just 12%

Last month’s local elections were a historic low – but Starmer and his crew have managed to go lower still. Intent or incompetence?

Last month, ‘Labour’ Prime Minister Keir Starmer – who is to the right of the appalling Tories on many issues and is driving their police-state agenda to new depths – managed the ‘distinction’ of presiding over the worst ever local election performance by a new government in British electoral history. Labour managed only a 14% share of the vote and, if the same results were repeated in a Westminster election, would lose 363 parliamentary seats, taking it well below the LibDems and only just above the SNP, which only stands for election in Scotland.

This month, he and the Labour right have managed to drive Labour lower still.

In the latest YouGov/Eurotrack poll of public approval or disapproval, only 12% of respondents approve of the Labour government’s policies and performance, while a massive 67% – more than two thirds of voters – disapprove:

Starmer and his ‘grown-up’ advisers and ministers, including saboteur Morgan McSweeney, only seem to know how to drive voters into the arms of fascist-adjacent ‘Reform UK’, or out of bothering to vote at all – and they continue to do so by pursuing a war on children, pensioners, the long-term sick and disabled people, along with literal war with massively increased spending on weapons and support for Israel’s genocide of innocent Palestinians.

The question appears to be whether it’s all by intent or any of it is incompetence.

    1. I think I will be wasting my time – it’s Jonathan Reynolds – but thank you for the link and I shall do so.

  1. Absolute intent. Hes an intelligent man. But an obvious establishment stooge. His job for the establishment was to crush corbyn and change the public from socialism to gutter far right.

  2. Looking at the current state and performance of the Labour Party, it is legitimate to ask if this is by design.
The period of leadership of the party by Jeremy Corbyn brought to light the interesting fact that forty or so years of neoliberalism had firstly brought the country to the edge of ruin, and secondly failed in one of Mrs Thatcher’s stated ambitions – to change the thinking of the British people, because enough people support radical ideas in sufficient numbers to terrify the Establishment. The mainstream parties now offer nothing in terms of the real and very, very far-reaching changes that the country needs, all of which would favour ordinary people over the wealthy. Labour had to be neutralized as a party and possible movement for such changes, hence the manoevurings which brought Starmer, who is a creature of the Establishment, to the party leadership. The rest is and will be history.

  3. The man is a psychotic fuckwit with delusions of Blair-ish War Prime Minister grandeur. He’s sacrificing the future of the UK in order to pursue a fictional threat which is bound, by design, to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This most dangerous of all British Prime Ministers must be removed before he gets us all killed.
