Humanitarian campaigners taking food to Gaza targeted by Israel apologists – one jokes about complaint
At least two leading Israel supporters have called or appeared to wish for the deaths of humanitarian activists crewing the Gaza Freedom Flotilla vessel Madleen, which set off for Gaza today from Sicily – including environment and anti-genocide activist Greta Thunberg and Irish actor Liam Cunningham.
The Madleen is the new Flotilla vessel sailing with humanitarian aid to Gaza after its predecessor, the Conscience was badly damaged in a bombing by Israeli drones in international waters just off the coast of Malta, and it aims to break Israel’s starvation blockade and to draw attention to Israel’s occupation, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Arsen Ostrovsky, an Israel-based ‘human rights lawyer’ who has denied Israel is starving Gaza and that it has fired upon starving Palestinians seeking food from an Israeli-controlled ‘humanitarian’ depot, described Thunberg as a ‘little jihadi’ and said sarcastically that it would be ‘so sad’ if the flotilla vessel was attacked again:
Ostrovsky has also, in late 2023, compared Palestinian resistance to cockroaches, which was compared by critics to the dehumanisation of Jews by the nazis:
‘Entrepreneur’ Eran Efrat, who reportedly raised $40m to buy supplies for occupation soldiers in Gaza, went further, saying he hoped the ‘opportunity’ to drown Thunberg would not be ‘wasted’:

Efrat mocked the outrage at his comment, posting a complaint he claimed had been made to his company about his call for Thunberg’s drowning and other comments:
The dangers faced by the crew of the Madleen are anything but theoretical. The article quoted by Efrat refers to the 2010 ‘Mavi Marmara incident’, in which ten members of a Freedom Flotilla vessel were murdered by Israeli troops and dozens more wounded.

And a mass, apparently coordinated, openly racist campaign among pro-Israel accounts and sockpuppets is now smearing Thunberg, Cunningham and their crew-mates as ‘Hamas’ or ‘Hamas supporters’ for wanting to end the forced starvation of two million civilians – and race-smearing the Palestinians by claiming they would kill Thunberg, force her into marriage or train her in ‘murder and rape of Jewish women and children’, a regurgitation of Israel’s long-debunked lies about the events of 7 October 2023, while Israeli troops have raped and sexually tortured both men and women prolifically.

It’s quite astonishing the number of parallels there are between Israel and Nazi Germany, except in terms of longevity. And I wonder how many of the 82 percent of them who support the forced expulsion of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip thought that Nas Shah reposting the ‘relocation map’ was antisemitic? The vast majority of them no doubt, and THAT is a perfect example of their supremicist mindset.
