Israeli regime is not afraid to say the quiet part out loud, but UK media and politicians continue to hide it and prioritise Israel
Zvi Yedidia Sukkot, a Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionist Party and National Religious Party–Religious Zionism – the party of self-proclaimed fascist government minister Bezalel Smotrich – has continued the phenomenon of the Israeli regime being unashamed to ‘say the quiet part out loud’ about Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Sukkot participated in a panel last weekend on Israel’s Channel 12 and commented on the fact that the panel was discussing draft legislation and not Israel’s renewed invasion of Gaza and crowed that this was:
Because everyone got used to the idea that you can kill a hundred Gazans in one night, in a war, and nobody in the world cares.
The mass murder in Gaza is not a war, it is a genocide. But UK government politicians and media continue to ignore the many open statements of genocidal intent by Israeli authority figures and influencers – and still continue to claim that even calling the murder of 200,000+ civilians in Gaza and the forced starvation of 2 million a genocide is to ‘devalue’ the word ‘genocide’ because, well, that apparently only applies when it’s Jewish people being murdered and it’s the suffering of a handful of Israelis in Gaza that is really of concern:
