EU’s criminal complicity in and failure to act against genocide slammed by principled MEP

European Parliament member Marc Botenga has taken a principled and outspoken stance on Israel’s genocide in Gaza – and on challenging other MEPs for their complicity in and smugness about Israel’s mass murder of more than 200,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
And on Monday Botenga spoke out again, to challenge the EU’s new head of foreign affairs, Kaja Kallas – one of several senior EU officials that United Nations Special Rapporteur for Palestinian rights Francesca Albanese believes should face charges for complicity in Israel’s crimes – about her call for a ‘balanced approach’ to Israel’s slaughter of innocents.
Botenga pointed out, rightly, that there would be no such call in relation to crimes by Russia or any other state and demanded immediate action, including sanctions against Israel, not mere weasel-words and collusion:
Israel is murdering civilians daily and particularly targeting children – who are also the chief targets of its starvation blockade of Gaza, which has pushed almost 300,000 of them to the brink of death from lack of food after more than two months of the siege.
