Video: ‘If I knew this child was going to die, I had to save the painkiller for a child who would survive’

Gaza volunteer surgeon Dr Mohammed Mustafa describes the horrific choices Israel’s bombing and blockade forced him to make every day

Australian emergency doctor Mohammed Mustafa has spoken about the horrific choices he was forced to make every day during his recent volunteer service in Gaza because of Israel’s constant bombing of children and its blockade of essentials for life, including medicine and anaesthetic.

Mustafa was speaking in a podcast interview with journalist Jan Fran – warning, what he had to say is extremely traumatic:

During his service in Gaza, Mustafa published a video to his Instagram account in which he spoke of the ‘catastrophe’ he and other doctors, along with the besieged people of Gaza, were facing:

The terror state’s genocide, extermination, war crimes and crimes against humanity are utterly horrific – but its crimes against Gaza’s children are the most horrifying and unforgivable of all.

  2. There are no words to express the inhumanity of such a regime or its supporters.
