Video: Israel bombs ‘safe zone’ tents (again), murders young child of couple who waited 18 years for him

Almost 100 killed in a few hours, including young Kinan Adwan

Israel has today – as it has done repeatedly – bombed the tents of displaced Palestinians in Al Mawasi, the supposed ‘safe zone’ into which Israel ordered all the survivors living in and around Rafah, southern Gaza, to flee. Video footage capture of the strike shows the missile coming in and a horrific explosion:

The explosion killed and maimed dozens, including young Kinan Adwan, the only child of parents who tried for eighteen years to have him:

Palestinian journalist Rabie Noqaira wrote:

The Israeli occupation army killed the only child of journalist Ahmad Adwan — a child granted to him by God after 18 years of marriage, during which his wife endured over 700 injections to sustain the pregnancy.

The child came into their lives after a long journey of longing and heartbreak, only to have his life stolen in an instant by Israeli warplanes and American-made missiles. His breath was silenced, his voice muted, and the family’s joy shattered as a result of the bombing of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Almost a hundred civilians were murdered in this attack and others in Gaza before the middle of the day was even reached, and hundreds more maimed and wounded. UK PM Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy have not even mentioned these atrocities, let alone condemned them.

A single strike like this on refugees in Ukraine would cause political and media outrage that would fill UK screens for months. Happening every day in Gaza, it is stubbornly ignored by ‘our’ media and politicians, who instead enthusiastically collude in Israel’s genocide, which has killed more than two hundred thousand civilians, mostly women and children, and is starving millions more – and coddle and cover for Israeli war criminals in the UK.
