Video: as Israel burned babies in Gaza, British govt grants immunity to occupation minister

Outrage as Starmer and media collude over Gideon Sa’ar’s unannounced visit and UK Zionist group welcomes him

Israel burned babies in Gaza today. The occupation regime bombed the tents of displaced people, resulting in horrific scenes of dead children and others horribly scarred and likely to die:

‘Have you heard the sound of childhood burning?’

So far during its genocide in Gaza, the occupation has murdered at least 200,000 people, around half of them children and the rest mostly women, while doctors, journalists, paramedics, rescue workers, hospitals and schools have been particularly targeted – and the scenes only get more horrific. Israel is bombing daily and starving constantly around 1.8 million survivors.

Yet the UK waved away calls from the humanitarian Hind Rajab Foundation for the arrest of Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sa’ar – who has called publicly for Gaza to be starved, a clear statement of genocidal intent – during his unannounced visit today in London, instead granting him immunity.

Sa’ar is deeply implicated in the collective decisions that led to mass civilian death and suffering following October 7, 2023. His central role in shaping and defending the government’s military policy makes him a key figure in the leadership responsible for a campaign the International Court of Justice has found plausibly genocidal.

Playing its part in providing cover for Sa’ar’s visit, the BBC was slammed for its complete silence – but Zionist-fundamentalist lobby group the Board of Deputies (BOD) trumpeted its welcome, with its president Phil Rosenberg saying how good it was to meet Sa’ar and how unified he and his colleagues feel with the far-right Israeli regime:

Thirty-six BOD deputies – barely ten percent of the more than three hundred members – went public to condemn Israel’s actions in Gaza, but stopped short of calling those actions war crimes or crimes against humanity. They were still attacked by Rosenberg for daring to “lay blame squarely on the Israeli Government” for the mass killing of Palestinian civilians – and many Israeli captives.

Some of the young victims burned to death.

Israel is a terror state. The UK is a police state waging war on its own people to protect Israel’s ability to commit terrorism. The leaders of both belong in the Hague on trial for war crimes, not being coddled and shielded from accountability for their actions – along with all who collude in or provide cover for the genocidal crimes and slaughter perpetrated on the innocents of Gaza.

  1. If you’re expecting moral leadership from Starmer and Lammy, you’re going to be sickened.

  2. But, but, but some of those board of deputies signed a letter decrying the war.

    …Hedging their bets, the slime.

    1. Yes, I saw that too and naive me for a moment thought perhaps a hopeful sign . But of course you are quite correct, just hedging their bets.

I feel sick to my stomach, and weeping for those poor poor children and families (and of course the thousands of others) but we have to keep watching don’t we and doing what we can. Will we see any of this in any mainstream publication? I doubt it. Thank you Skwawkbox.
