Smotrich resigns from Netanyahu government in protest at fellow fascist wanting more positions

Self-described ‘National Religious Party–Religious Zionism’ fascist Bezalel Smotrich has resigned as Benjamin Netanyahu’s finance minister – according to his spokesperson, in protest at fellow right-wing extremist Itamar Ben-Gvir wanting more ministerial positions for his own fascist ‘Jewish Power’ party.

When Ben-Gvir resigned in January in protest at Netanyahu agreeing the sham ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza that Israel breached daily then deliberately collapsed, Netanyahu promised Smotrich a slaughter in the occupied West Bank in return for staying on in his cabinet. Ben-Gvir, along with Netanyahu and four others, is the subject of a genocide case at the International Criminal Court (ICC) brought by an Israeli lawyer. Netanyahu is also a wanted war criminal in his own right after the ICC issued arrest warrants for him and his former defence minister Yoav Gallant.

For some reason, UK media are so far ignoring the resignation.
