Israel orders mass ethnic cleansing of Rafah into tiny Mawasi in fresh crime against humanity

Largest single forced migration so far is an unequivocal atrocity

Israel has ordered the largest forced displacement of its genocide in Gaza so far, ordering hundreds of thousands of people to move from Rafah and across southern Gaza into the tiny al-Mawasi wasteland or be bombed even more intensively than they are already facing. The image of Gaza below gives some sense of the scale of chaos the grossly-illegal order has caused:

While Gaza has been devastated by Israel’s blanket bombardment during the genocide, Al-Mawasi is a wasteland described by humanitarian aid groups as unfit for human habitation, as this image from just over a year ago shows:

All this movement is happening while Israel continues to block all food and other humanitarian aid from entering Gaza and has destroyed desalination plans and contaminated ground water – more unequivocal war crimes. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has said openly that he intends to implement the Trump plan for the complete removal of Palestinians from Gaza – supposed ‘voluntary migration’. A video interview by an Israeli spokeswoman on UK TV this week makes clear what that really means:

Every government in the world should have imposed a complete embargo on Israel in both directions until it ceases its crimes and surrenders its leadership for trial at the International Criminal Court. Instead, with the US and UK leading the way, western governments are not only turning a blind eye to, but actively, politically and military collaborating in the slaughter and starvation of innocents for the Zionist theft of their land.
