Starmer govt to outsource ‘assisted dying’ to private NHS profiteers

What could possibly go wrong?

In January, right-wing Labour MP Kim Leadbeater’s committee supposedly putting together the safeguards to prevent abuse of her ‘unfit for purpose‘ assisted dying bill was rightly criticised for voting to hold key discussions in secret, avoiding public scrutiny and raising serious doubts about her original claims that there would be full transparency in the debate and ample safeguards to protect vulnerable old and sick people from pressure to die.

In February, Leadbeater announced that the assisted suicide process would now not, as at first promised, require sign-off by a High Court judge – instead only needing approval by a social worker or psychiatrist, supposedly because High Court judges would be too busy to look at applications for death and make sure that there was no coercion or pressure and that no one standing to profit would be influencing the wish to die.

And in March – yesterday – the government confirmed that the killing of the frail will be done, for profit, by private companies – essentially a corporate meat-grinder turning the sick and elderly into cash, to ‘minimise the effect’ on the NHS:

Keir Starmer’s government has already made clear that it is prepared to coerce people into taking dangerous drugs to lose weight and to withhold treatment from anyone who refuses or can be blamed for their health condition – and that it intends to keep data on the number of deaths caused by austerity policies secret, even if it means fighting against the courts to do so.

It has made clear that the sick and disabled are a burden considered ‘unsustainable’, that the poor and elderly can die if it is regarded as a saving – and that the future of the NHS is closed hospitals, rationed treatment and even making patients treat and care for themselves and their neighbours.

Now Starmer, who broke every promise he made to con Labour members into choosing him as leader and with Wes Streeting has taken large donations from health privatisersand says he’ll let the NHS die if it doesn’t submit to his plans, is going to farm out the killing of the sick, frail and elderly to firms making profit from their deaths as part of a process that is being stripped of safeguards that were promised to secure MPs’ votes – to ‘save the NHS’.

  1. Didn’t take long, and barely even disguised.

  3. The best that could be said of Herr Starmer and his junta is that in effectively committing to put the boots of British subjects in the ground for the cokehead diktator of 404 on behalf of his Oligarch paymasters who pull his strings, he is at least being consistent in the planned and ongoing cull of what is considered to be the surplus to requirements deplorable populist population.

On the present trajectory and velocity, it cannot be too long before the weekly National Lottery draw across the UK and Europe introduces the legendary booby prize for all the losers every week to be fed into the incinerators to keep the lights on and the central heating going for the 1% and their minions (wherever they claim to live).

  4. America First, UK second in the race for money above ALL else, but especially above morality.

    1. The indomitable Patrick Armstrong cuts to the chase:

“It’s production, not money. You don’t fight wars by firing bundles of dollars at the enemy…

….There is nothing that money can do to remedy the four-to-one ratio except with a lot of investment in production over a long time. Thanks to offshoring manufacturing, the Western industrial base mostly has to be built from the ground up. Is that even possible? If you think about it, an apprentice machinist on an assembly line fifty years ago was being taught how to do it by a master machinist who had been taught by a previous master and so on back to the middle of the 1700s when industrial production was invented. Each in the series advanced the technique, of course, but it’s still a chain you could trace back, machinist by machinist, for all that time. If that sequence of teacher-learner-teacher is broken, if the teacher has retired or died leaving no apprentices, how long will it take to get it back? Putting a pallet of engraved paper in the floor of an empty building and hoping it will turn into a pallet of artillery rounds is magic thinking. ”

  5. Wicked and Dangerous.
When every single founding member of “Living and Dying Well” and, in my opinion, one of the UK’s most respected and trustworthy oncologists, Dr Carol Davis, convince thousands of clinicians, people of faith and palliative health practitioners that Leadbetter’s assisted dying bill is dangerous, wrong and ‘the worst thought-out legal framework on assisted dying seen anywhere in the world’, only a devious Labour party which is committed to it would proceed as it has.

Removing a need for court approval for assisted dying ‘applicants’ alongside concerted efforts to conceal deaths caused by austerity measures, a sudden (hopefully short-term) 6,000 “excess” (ie, unexpected) deaths per month of middle-aged people since the launch of mRNA ‘vaccines’ and the “unethical” targeting of weight loss ‘medication’ on the jobless convinces me that Starmer’s Labour is wicked and dangerous.

    1. ‘Ere qwerty, was it you suggested I try taking magnesium for AF?

If so, nice one!👍 Been taking a pill for just over a fortnight – already feel quite a lot less fatigued, and not waking up every half hour like I was previously – whether I needed to or not!

      1. Yeah, think I did. Great to hear that, Toffee – another ‘easy step’ that will make a massive difference re atrial fibrillation (or other probs it causes) is to take a couple of swigs (well, cups/glasses really) of diluted organic Apple Cider Vinegar every day with molasses/honey or maple syrup/ up to you. Your liver, kidneys and colon will thank you 🙂
(Get a straw tho’ cos even diluted ACV can damage tooth enamel).

BTW: if easy, switch the pill for magnesium chloride flakes/powder added to the ACV(or any drink) and you’ll get more of the magnesium to where it’s needed cheaper and better, and it’ll improve your electrolyte levels (which most of us need).
