Electronic Intifada journalist and author Asa Winstanley and Al Jazeera film-maker Richard Sanders spoke to a packed gathering of Liverpool Friends of Palestine anti-genocide and anti-Zionist activists on the evening of 28 February. The pair spoke about Israel’s genocide, BBC Gaza bias and censorship, Israel’s killing of a large number of its own people on 7 October, UK PM Keir Starmer’s war on free speech and journalism about Gaza and more. Below are the speeches they gave before taking a Q&A:

Sanders is the maker of a number of films on Gaza, the events of 7 October and Israel’s genocide. Winstanley writes and presents for Electronic Intifada and has just published a new book: ‘Weaponising Antisemitism: How the Israel Lobby Brought Down Jeremy Corbyn’. Like a number of UK journalists, he has faced persecution from Keir Starmer’s UK government for his reporting on Palestine and on Israel’s criminality.

An excerpt from Sanders’s film ‘October 7’ was also shown. Watch the full film here.

  1. I’d’ve gone over the water for this if I’d known about it beforehand. How about advance notice next time, please! Thanks for the footage anyway.

  2. Listen up they told the whole truth and nothing but the truth did BBC upholders of the truth. Ha ha ha
